The Air Venturi Alpha PCP Air Rifle is a versatile and accurate platform that offers the features and innovations of more expensive air guns at an affordable price. Capable of velocities up to 1025 FPS in Standard models and 900 FPS in Compact models, and power up to 36 FPE in Standard models and 26 FPE in Compact models, the Alpha is a pcp air rifle that excels at target practice, pest control, and small-game hunting.
This air rifle is available in models that range from 20 shots per fill on the Compact Tube version and 35 on the Standard Tube version to 60 on the Aluminum Bottle versions, with the Compact Carbon Bottle a compelling option at 55 shots per fill and a weight of only 4.75 pounds. The Air Venturi Alpha has a two-stage adjustable trigger that provides a clean and crisp break that leads to repeatable accuracy. The air rifle also features a folding stock with a Picatinny connection, which makes the air gun easier to fit in a case and more compact, especially useful when carrying it through the woods or in a pack.
For accurate aiming, this air rifle includes a Picatinny/Weaver optics rail to enable the addition of a scope, and it has Picatinny accessory rails on both sides of the receiver for adding items such as lasers, flashlights, and other accessories that add to the functionality and accuracy of the air gun, as well as M-LOK forend rails on the Tube models for additional options.

This compact version is perfect for small game hunting from zero to 50 yards. With careful experimentation to find the most accurate pellets, this P C P has more than enough accuracy for solid head shots at the above distance. 26 FT pounds of energy anchor's Large Jack Rabbits instantly. If you want more energy, there are two other models of the same rifle to choose from. Frankly, I prefer the compact. The rifle is extremely light wieght and fast on target. It is the perfect rig for woods and high desert small game hunting. Slap on your favorite optic and this puppy is ready to go right out of the box. It will easily fit behind the seat of your pick up or folded into a back pack. Think about it. For vehicle use, it is the perfect survival tool for the back of your truck if you bring a hand pump or even a battery operated compressor. More accurate and powerful than your average springer. 26 pounds of energy and extreme accuracy. 20 to 25 usable shots for two days of hunting.
Things I Would Have ChangedMy only complaint which IS NOT A DEAL BREAKER. They fused the silencer on the muzzle with red lock tight. It is almost impossible to remove. Lock tight was not necessary. That said the rifle is back yard friendly but could do even better with an aftermarket suppressor..
What Others Should KnowThis P C P is definitely a best buy. We'll worth the price for what I consider the perfect 50 yard small game hunter.
Lite. Built well. Accurate. Price is phenomenal. Simple. Quiet with a Capital Moderator or Bravo 3D. I love this compact version.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore shots per fill would be nice but at this price point it’s hard to complain. It’s a lot of gun for the money.
What Others Should KnowThis is the second one I have purchased and have had zero issues with either one. I will be purchasing the standard when it becomes available. Love this gun.
Luv the weight. Shoots good..
Things I Would Have ChangedButtstock! It needs to be adjustable!!. Not a comfortable fit for my wife. She usually shoots youth models. Called about it and they're are no options for this model yet. So u either have it folded, unfolded or take it off. Big bummer here!! So far she's not shooting it. Shoulder issues, plus busty, buttstock just not a comfortable fit! Which is very sad, cause she wanted to shoot it.
Accuracy, Weight and Power. Right out the box with only a cleaning, mounting a scope and a bipod, I'm getting an average of 897 FPS with a 21.14 grn H&N Barracuda pellets for 37.74 FPE with nickel size groups at 40 YDS. Plenty enough accuracy and power for pest control and small game hunting. At the price point it's kind a hard to beat. And I do own nine other PCPs from .22 to .30 Caliber.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe eye relief is a little off but it can be adjusted by dropping the stock down one click, however doing this the magnets well no longer line up when folding the stock. The mags do not like short slugs like H&N HPs they tend to fall out and cycle badly, longer heavier slugs like Nielsen do work well.
What Others Should KnowIf your in the market for a light, collapsible, regulated heavy hitter this might just be what you're looking for.
Fun to shoot, easy to fill.
Things I Would Have ChangedACCURACY! Terrible by what I was hoping. Power - I wish it were a bit more powerful (perfect if it were bumped up to about where the Zelos is). Trigger - sorry, just because it looks like a "match trigger" doesn't mean that it is. Adjustments won't get it safely to where it needs to be. This could be one of the biggest contributors to the accuracy disappointment I have. Stock cheek piece doesn't really line up to be "comfortable" for me. Cheek piece is unadjustable and is too high with a scope with medium rings. I really didn't want to jack up the scope height on a short range rifle like this. Coming from an Avenge-X .25 caliber, you can definitely hear the power difference when the pellets hit the target (I got the Alpha .22). Overall happy (only due to price point and fun factor) but plenty of disappointments. It'll handle 2" targets all day at 50 yards and less, if that standard is okay with you (Avenge-X is a tack driver out of the box).
What Others Should KnowI rarely shoot air rifles but had a Hatsan .22 air springer (its actually more accurate than this at the shorter ranges), but it broke. I got an Avenge-X (first PCP) and LOVED it - shooting is actually fun now (I only had the Hatsan to take care of pests around the house). Enjoyed the Avenge-X so much and since now I had all the stuff for PCP's I decided to get this Alpha just to use the rest of my .22 pellets (of course I bought more .22's anyway). PCP's are fun, and this is too, but I'm simply disappointed in the accuracy and there are no adjustment features available. Its sub 1" easily, just rare to get it sub 1/2" consistently. I got it because I figured it was probably cheaper to get this than it would have been to send my Hatsan in for repairs. Still enjoy the purchase for a fun backyard plinker, but I don't think I'd buy it if I knew ahead of time what I know now about it now. The low $270 price point isn't any consolation, it just isn't what I wanted it to be.
I'd highly recommend this, it's an off-the-charts value proposition. Overall great design and a lot more fun than I expected. The compact one is a perfect balance of light weight but quality feel. It seems accurate enough so far, though I only have a few mags through it at short range. Mag design is nice and easy to load.
Things I Would Have ChangedI HATE that the safety is counter-clockwise to disengage. I'm used to and would prefer the opposite. The side cocker isn't super duper smooth, and the trigger is a tiny bit rough, but well within expectations for the price and neither are bad. They may break in. I had the loose nut for the stock attachment rattling around in the box like many other people - it would be nice if they figured out a way to secure those for shipping.
What Others Should KnowYou can definitely get 20 shots out of a fill, but only the first 10 shots hold a consistent 845fps regulated velocity before it starts tapering off to about 750.
It is light but feels like great build quality. Simple set up. Not too loud with heavy pellets. It is very accurate 10 shots covered with a penny at 25yds. Packaging is superb. Comes with two mags and extra orings. Hopefully it will hold up with more use. Pic rails on top and the sides are a nice touch. Bipod mounts nice and secure to the mlok fore grip. An aftermarket suppressor will make it backyard friendly.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing I do not like so far.
What Others Should KnowGreat gun to get the youth started in shooting sports. Especially at this price point. You can’t go wrong with this gun.
Accurate, Just picked it up today mounted scope and sighted it in at 50 yds., hitting dime size bullseyes. Very reasonably priced for a compact regulated air rifle. this review is based on my first day with the rifle, I will update if any issues arise in the near future.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would like to see the moderator easier to take off and replace. Also one nut for the stock was missing searched the whole box, found the other nut stuck to the magnet on the folding stock.
What Others Should KnowFor anyone wondering I found a replacement nut at local hardware store, it is a fine thread 4mm nut. it would be nice if at the bare minimum they put the screws in the stock threaded partially in the nuts to secure them for transport.
This is a tack driver with JBS Hades 15.89. Love this gun fun to shoot.
Things I Would Have ChangedFill probe do not like. Other than that nothing!!
What Others Should KnowCan not take moderator.

The accuracy was excellent. I like everything about this rifle except the amount of shots per fill.
Things I Would Have ChangedUse a larger capacity HPA bottle.
What Others Should KnowI would by the longer barrel version. I would have except they were not available.
