Quality control at the assembly point-many loose setscrews, and bolts in both the stock and receiver, i.e. barrel setscrews, pellet probe and cocking lever. 2. Enhance the user manual with written/video Initial and Periodic rifle test/checks (all the above mentioned loose bolts/setscrews). 3. Put 20 MOA in the picatinny rail. 4. Wish they didn't recess the reg gauge in the receiver, or make the sides of the recess cutout larger. On the regulator gauge the side to side cutout is approximately 25.5mm. This limits the choice of replacement gauges. 5. Offer a digital reg gauge option.

See item 2 above. After my own experience and review of various forums, apparently its not uncommon for barrel setscrews and pellet probe to be loose right out of the box. I also had a loose charging lever (ext and int). In spite of this it's still a great air rifle. I'm 3000 rounds in and happy with its accuracy out to 100 yards. Note that past 50 yards wind will seriously affect pellets.

Scope must be mounted quite high to clear the high-cap magazine. An adjustable cheek-piece is a requirement, IMO One or two dry fires are usually (but not always) required to settle the regulator when fill pressure drops significantly below regulated pressure

The Avenge-X is on of, if not the best air rifle value available today. Outstanding accuracy and velocity out of the box with 34 gr pellets, great manufacturing quality, designed from the ground up for easy and quick tuning. The hi/lo port setting allowed quick adjustment for lighter pellets. The Avenge-X has the best out of box performance of my 7 air rifles, one of which was twice as expensive, and the comprehensive seal and wrench kit is a most appreciated bonus.

I enjoyed a lot about this Air rifle. The capacity of the smaller 210 cylinder does great. Options of upgrades and the heft of the rifle itself. The adjustments are easy and field tunable.

The sun stock is a little slippery even with my roughed up mechanic hands. The sling attachment spots are kind of awkward.

The glaring issue I had a very upsetting issue with is the reg creep that is supposed to be fixed as an upgrade from the regular avenger series. Set for 2100psi and in the morning will be at a whopping 2600-2700psi. I may have a lemon in relation to all of you. Pyramid Air has been great in offering solutions and options. But for Air Venturi to still have this going on after charging for more on core mechanical operations that were supposed to fixed is kind of upsetting. Instead of returning the gun as it is a hassle for me shipping anything through MA. I will disassemble it and check out what is wrong with this regulator and/or it's seat.

Ergonomics of the rifle are great. Adjustability of the but pad and cheek rest made scope alignment perfect. Adjustability of the regulator and hammer spring has me shooting a 33gr Apolo slug at 50.65 FPE and the accuracy is amazing at 75 yrds.

If you're looking for an affordable totally adjustable PCP platform purchase an Air Venturi Avenge-X You won't regret it.

This gun is well built with a good “heft” I am very impressed with the accuracy. You hear the term “tack driver” used often but this rifle is just that !There was a small problem with a very slow leak that would cause it to bleed off about 1 to 2 hundred lbs per day but a couple drops of silicone oil on the intake port and some practice solved that. Right out of the box it is dead nuts accurate. The tuning possibilities are endless with the available adjustments which would permit you to tweak to your hearts delight and easily return to factory settings. It is also VERY QUIET. One quirk is that sometimes from session to session the POI will drift slightly. I think an aftermarket barrel band may solve this. This is my second pcp and have probably about 200 rounds through it. Glad to purchase an air rifle that lives up to its reviews.

I would like to see some checkering on the stock as the surface is a little smooth and would hate to drop it. Also the magazine is a little funky as sometimes a pellet will fall out or become mispositioned. You just have to pay attention when using the mag. Take a cue from the Crossman Icon mag, they work pretty well.

The hand pump routine is a challenge. It works and the price is right, especially when you can easily get the price of the gun plus wrapped up in a compressor, but be prepared to earn your stripes with a hand pump !!

I had bad experiences with UPS shipping. Pyramid worked with me to get an air rifle shipped in good condition. The Avenge X is phenomenal. Out of the box it was dead nuts accurate. At 27 yds 5 round groups of .2” were easily achieved. At 48 yds. .6” groups were common. This rifle has the right weight and balance to feel right. I will explore the possibilities in the future using the unending availability of adjustments and modular options. I am VERY impressed with this rifle. I come from a long history of rimfire builds and am aware of what it takes to achieve accuracy.

I like the Crossman 10 round magazine the best. With my scope down on the barrel ( within 1/10”) the 16 round mag won’t fit. This is minor but anything can be improved

I like the ergonomics overall. The adjustability of the gun is outstanding. I do believe the accuracy will be good, I say will be because the baffle stack failed and caused erratic accuracy.

I had the 10 4 10 service which will allow most problems to surface and be addressed. The problem with the baffle stack is another thing altogether. A little research finds this is not a first but maybe an ongoing manufacturing defect in some of these stacks. I am sure it will be corrected shortly. I must thank Stacy in customer service for her assistance in resolving this matter. Maybe it's time to get proactive in this problem.

All in all this is a fine place to expand one's collection of air arms...
