I bought the mallard drake/hen combo and have put one season in with them. I think they look good and the motion is good. However, the drake motor turned really loud, and I can hear it running from the blind. The flying ducks it didn't seem to bother but anything that lands wont hang out or swim in. I don't use the drake one anymore. It is a good to great addition in glass water but otherwise, I don't think it does as well as jerk string system. If I can get one, I might try the foot flapper this year.
Produces good ripples to put motion on the water on those no wind days. I have the mallard drake and hen preeners, I plan to buy the the drake and hen surface feeders also.
I bought a hen feeder power shaker and used it for the teal opener. It looked and worked so well I bought another on the way home from that hunt. Now I’m ordering a shaker preening combo. Batteries last at least 4 hunts. Huge ripples compared to anything else out there and I have Higdon squirters etc also. I may eventually turn the entire spread into these. These look crazy realistic on the water!
Perfect addition to the motion decoy collection. A lot more subtle than a pulsator and much more realistic movement and ripples. i'm buying more!
In the right conditions these worked well! I want more. They look good and seem to be well made.
Finally a shaker decoy that looks like a real mallard, but also has realistic ripples and sits right in the water. _x000D_
Love the feeder position and quality of the decoys. The really make a difference on days with no wind. _x000D_
