Bear Apprentice Right-Handed Youth Compound Bow

Needs serious improvements! Adjustability is embarrassingly lacking. After a month draw weight decreased mysteriously. Has potential, but Bear needs to put some innovation into their youth bows.

It's inexpensive and serves it purpose, but there are parts that are extremely cheap and poorly made. Mainly the arrow rest. Also, there are no directions on how to change the draw length. All in all, it serves the purpose for my 6 year old.

My almost 6 year old loves his Christmas gift. Strongly recommend to a child getting into archery. If anyone has insight into adjusting draw length it would be greatly appreciated

Only giving it a 3 because my son loves using it. Seems cheaply made. We've only used it twice since he got it for Christmas. The black plastic piece the arrow sits on will not stay on even after using super glue it's fallen off 5-6 times and I've given up. Now one of the fetching (feathers) has fallen off as well. I emailed after our first time using it and I couldn't get the arrow rest to stay on and it took almost a month to get a response from the company. When we upgrade I will be trying to find another company.

It says it is adjustable in the description, but neither the weight nor the draw length are adjustable.

I was under the impression that the weight & length were adjustable, and as others have mentioned, they are not. I also had to make some homemade modifications on the riser to hold the arrow in place, as the bow did not come with an arrow rest.

My 5 year old struggles considerably to fully draw the bow, as the effective draw weight is about 14lbs. This will probably be a great fit for him at age 6/7, but I will be shopping for another bow to meet his current needs.

Can't adjust draw length or draw weight, but the marketing material suggests you can. It even has a chart on the back suggesting draw length depending on the height of the child?! What's the point, because it isn't adjustable?
Looks like a nice little bow. It actually does have let off, but at my child's DL, there won't be any. I just wish Bear actually made clear in their promotional material that it isn't adjustable from 6-15lb and that the draw length is also not adjustable. It is basically a recurve bow unless your DL is long enough to get to the let off and wall!
