Bear RazorHead VWS Single Bevel Broadhead Kit, Black

Powerful head which has excellent cutting and penetrating pass through ability. But the heads are NOT durable. All three broke about 1/4 back after first contact - one with a tree after passing through a small deer. Once a weight is chosen, why can't I buy individual components?

There's no way to source parts. I lost an arrow sighting in and now my set down to two practice points. It screws everything up.

Shot a Wisconsin buck on the Sat. after receiving these. The arrow was able to penetrate clean thru the deer!

His broadheads have been very accurate. I've only shot one pig with them so far, but I've been happy with the performance

Hello All! I gave these a full season of practice and killing prior to this review. Positives: They fly silent and straight up field point consistent. Weight adjustment inserts are super handy if you switch from deer to elk. As previously mentioned, the heads come sharp enough to shoot, but I would highly recommend taking your field Worksharp tool out to provide a razor's edge. They do sharpen easily which is a big benefit while out in the hills. Negative: The tip is a bit brittle. My son busted one when he yanked it out of the hard rubber cow mat. I sent it back to Bear and they replaced them. Perhaps a bad batch? During the season I shot a large buck and once again the tip snapped off. The arrow broke a rib going in, continued through the heart and then into that hard leg joint on the back side. The bone partially shattered but took off the broadhead tip at the same time. We will keep using these heads and may also try out the new three blade version. Perhaps Bear can tweak the metal mix a bit to help with durability. Pix of the buck and head attached.

Good edges, thick steel, sleek design. The only thing i would improve would be to make the 200 grain insert steel instead of aluminum

For the price and what you get, this system is a bargain! Between the usable weighting of the setup, as well as the ability to change to field points, it's a huge win! I would recommend these for anyone provided you are looking for above 150+grn. broadheads. I am hoping that Bear Archery will bring out some lighter versions later down the road for those that shoot a lighter setup. My suggestion to anyone considering these is to invest in some Loctite 242 or similar (Blue) threadlocker, to ensure the system stays together without worry of the components loosening due to vibration or time. Again, a great system, I keep all components in a Watertight Pelican case with foam, which stays in my pack.

I just got the new bear razor and the grind on the single bevel is terrible and not sharp at all. Will is after I get the right bevel on them how they work out
