BOG FieldPod Magnum

This is a very sturdy platform to hunt with. It is something you want to carry around in the field though. I bought it for use in a deer blind for more shot stability and help with younger more inexperienced shooters. Great buy for that purpose.

This has been the most stable stand that I have in my collection of hunting tools. Its not light but is manageable to travel if needed for a stable or long-range shot. The feet are perfect for tough terrain and hard dirt. The legs are strong and very deliberate in their stance and stability. I believe every tool has a specific function. The Field Pod Magnum fits the bill for crossbow and rifle hunting in a blind for the most stable shot possible. I have different weapon stands for specific purposes and this stand is the one for my Savage Stealth 300 WinMag and my TenPoint Siege 410. Very please with my purchase!!

I purchased this tripod to get a better hold of tough shots in the field during an all night hog hunt. While it has a lot going for it, it could use some improvements on the handle to prevent the top from rotating, namely the knob is too close to the top apparatus and your knuckles take a beating tightening to keep it from moving. It also has a somewhat flimsy screw and plastic clamp so don't tighten it so much. It also lacks a leg lock so the three legs flail all over the place until you bury the tips in the ground for stability. I installed an adjustable center chain system to keep the legs from sliding away and destabilizing the required position. As for calling it lightweight, it isn't, certainly not made for back packing, just too heavy for that. It's mostly for stationary hunting to hold your firearm nice and steady.

Used the FieldPod Magnum for my granddaughter’s first hunt. Very steady , easy to use , and a great confidence builder.

I have 3 of these Fieldpod Magnums and they are awesome. I keep one in each of my hunting blinds for whitetail deer and carry 1 with me when I coyote hunt. After letting the two guys I yote hunt with try it, they each bought one of their own. They allow for steady accurate shooting always at the ready. The only issue has been that I have broken 2 of the rear forks but BOG has always been great about getting me replacement parts. Excellent customer service.
