Burris FastFire 3 Red Dot Sight, MOA, Black

Fit is going to be a problem for some. That’s my only knock. I mounted this on an optic ready M&P 2.0 9mm using plate 5 and screws “C”. The S&W “Doctor” plate (#3) does not fit this optic as I was led to believe it would. I had to use a utility knife to shave down the “posts” on the 5 plate just a hair. They wouldn’t seat into the optic otherwise. The footprint was fine… front posts just a little wide in diameter. Once it was mounted though it has worked great. Has held zero with 200+ rnds thru it. The S&W provided screws have not come loose at all (but always smart to check). The 3MOA red dot is crisp (better than photo shows) and clear. I don’t notice the auto dimming making a huge difference but have only used it indoors so far. This optic has no shake awake, which I knew. But for EDC I just turn it on when I grab it to go out. On/off button is good, not great. The optic stays on, no different than a shake awake would. Seems to work exactly as description says. I like the slimmer width. It is no wider than the slide. The Swampfox it replaced was slightly wider than the slide. I like this optic a lot as long as it continues to stay mounted and hold zero. So far so good.

This product is easy to use, easy to setup, and accurate. I have this on my Glock 23 and plan on picking up another to throw on my Berretta. I have no issues with this over the last year.

This optic fits numerous roles very well Pros: simple (auto bright), dedicated shotgun optic or piggyback option, battery life, protective cover Cons: limited Illumination settings, not a great pistol optic due to deck height. Burris has been making incredible optics for a long time and has a solid warranty. This is a buy

Works flawlessly and was very easy to setup. Great for red dot on my turkey setup!

Great image quality, easy to mount, the thumb tab on the magnifier dial is a nice touch. Price is significant for some folks and may be a barrier to entry.

I don't believe there is another option anywhere close to the price that competes with the Burris RT6/Fastfire 3 package. Very good quality glass, adjustments, and reticle. You can do better, but you will pay significantly more money for a little bit better quality. Very functional, thoroughly pleased.

Mounted this on my AR, it creates an optimal optic system for both close range and distance applications. Highly recommend.

I put this on my patrol rifle (Daniel Defense AR). The department had a dozen different options we could use. This one was recommended by a few guys that are armorers for the department. I was told, during testing for use on duty, they beat the crap out of their test model and it just wouldn’t quit. That, along with the word of mouth recommendation, was a huge selling point for me. I ordered the package and got it in less than a week. Mounted it and hit the range to sight it in. Was super impressed with clarity of glass. I like the reticle options and the 1 x 6 is perfect for patrol work. The added FastFire red dot is an excellent addition that allows for quick transitions for CQB and entry situations. I did remove it from the top of the scope and put it in a 45 degree offset at the end of the scope. This allows me to keep a more stable shooting platform and just cant the rifle slightly and I am right on target. Some might not mind, or even like, the 4 inch or so off set with the red dot on top but I did not. But the package deal of a very nice scope with a (so far) dependable red dot at the price point on this site was an exceptional find.
