Love this knife!!! If you see this knife for sale, buy it. I have owned mine for 4 or so years. I attempt to beat the crap out of it with great regularity. It is solid. I bought the Swede because it was cheap, I had no expectation of quality. I just wanted a tool to stop me from using my “good” tools for things they weren’t meant to do. Hasn’t failed yet!

This is the finest baton knife available. You cannot destroy this knife, no matter how many times you beat it with a wooden club weighing ten pounds or more (no steel-to-steel contact). This knife will split four-inch-diameter wooden stumps and branches. This knife is best suited for construction utility work. One can chisel through brick blocks and cut through 6 AWG copper wire with the Camillus Swedge. Also, filing down 7-gauge mild steel is no problem for this kind of knife. Be warned. The Camillus Swedge is not a bushcraft knife per se; however, as mentioned above, splitting (not good at chopper) wood like butter is no problem. One can forget about cutting paper of any thickness because the Camillus Swedge will not cut paper. The Camillus Swedge is a very heavy knife. So, if you plan to hike on land that is rough, uneven, rocky, and difficult to travel, characterized by significant elevation changes, forget it; the knife will weigh you down.

I have 5 of them. I bought 4 of them for my nephews for christmas. Good knife for a kid because of the balance and the blunt tip, moreover it is built well and will take the abuse of both hard chores and the learning of a kid. Easy to put an edge on when dull. I have used it to split fire wood. Tough Knife, handy, and the price is very good. I plan to keep one in the truck and one in my tool box and one in my outdoor overland kit.

I bought this knife about 6 months ago and I love it it's very durable and reliable

my chisel tip was so blunt almost 1/16th inch, I had to take it to my grinder to get it sharp. I also reground the main edge to a better angle but other than that it's doing some good heavy work

I use it very often every day. Holds up just fine, but will chip if u bang a rock. Gray one much cheaper same knives.

I have looked all over the place for something like this because I love carving wood. I got it about a month ago so I don’t have much to say about it but I’ve tested it a few times and I love it. I can cut into wood with very little effort I managed to stick it into a piece of wood and cut in about an inch!

I like the blade on the knife, the thick wedge is great for chopping kindling. What I don't like is the handle, it's too slick especially when wet.

Construction of this knife is impeccable. Definitely a nice addition
