Cold Steel Heavy Duty Sword Cane

It was a real pain in the butt to pull off the bottom rubber stopper but when I did I was able to cut the cane down to the proper size and honestly it's actually a really great cane just flat out for plain walking stick purposes. very cool and stylish, minimal, and I like it a lot, very sturdy. and the sword is also super badass too if I'm allowed to say that in a comment it's shaped very well even though I would have liked the point of balance to be a little further back towards the handle so I could have gripped it more like a pistol grip I actually like it with a regular sort of normal sword grip too it's not even really long and rapier like anyways.

Sword came in nice and sharp with good retention in the tube. I order this for my sister in law who is a huge fan of anime, and was recently diagnosed with CA. She was super happy just receiving this but was overwhelmed with joy after she cut a water bottle in half. thanks

Everything about this cane is awesome and as expected, and corresponds with the previous reviews. That I agree with all of the earlier reviews does however, have the same double edge as the first 1/3 of the business end of this item. There is concern about the “O” rings. Acknowledged and appreciated. So far so good for me — being careful with that. There is though, unfortunately, an audible tick or little clack sound depending on how the can plants in the ground as one moves with it. My not-radical efforts at creating flawless silence so far have only prevented the noise about 30-50% of the time. Anyone knowing anything about canes and their potential content will recognize the metal-on-metal clack in a quieter scenario (or even while being inspected at an outdoor concert-venue security station, for example) and you will likely be in a tricky situation. So, I have to consider this item just a “fun thing”, not a “piece of mind” concealed deadly weapon. Note: I have double hip replacements so I do need to plant this cane onto the ground on occasion.

It's a little heavy, but that can be expected. Very high quality sword. The retention system works very well. Comes out of the scabbard the way it should and is held in place with just the right amount of tension. Wields pretty well. Cuts very well. Both the sword and scabbard/cane are very tough. I shortened mine about three inches. The cane, that is. I cut it to the same length as my other walking cane. You'll need to remove the rubber end cap, then cut through the cane shaft with a pipe or tubing cutter for best results. A hacksaw will work, but don't cut all the way through at once, because there is a rubber insert inside that protects the edge of the blade when the sword is inserted. I then had to split the cut off piece to remove the rubber insert. Then you simply reassemble everything. No glue needed.

Very pleased with my purchase, after shortening it a couple inches (which wasn't difficult at all) this cane is suitable for every day use. There is little to no rattle from the blade as with cheaper sword canes and it presents itself as a normal cane. The blade is heavy duty and sharp. Awesome product!

Impressive for a concelable blade of size. Works admirably as a cane also.
