Cold Steel Irish Blackthorn Walking Stick

The top of the stick had a plastic decorative knob. I dont know what I was expecting, but I did not anticipate the cheap look of the knob.

As a community-appropriate alternative to a sidearm for dog walks in Arizona, the Cold Steel Irish Blackthorn and Walkabout sticks provide incredible peace of mind and a solid visual deterrent. The Blackthorn feels impressively robust for defense, while both sticks are surprisingly versatile for guiding a stubborn leash, improving posture during rests, or even using as exercise tools for stretching. Though I have no mobility issues, the confidence these give me to protect my dog from aggressive animals while hiking is worth every penny. They are socially acceptable everywhere, feel great in the hand, and have already proven their utility for everything from shooing away stray cats to clearing branches.

I purchased this stick about five years ago. I swear by this stick, everybody I came in contact with admired it. The stick was recently lost, I am replacing it.

It looks fairly original. It’s thick at the shift and heavier than I thought it would be. It’s not as nice as a hand crafted wooden one is but feels much hardier and would stand up to some heavy swings. All in all it’s a nice piece.

Received this nice indestructible walking stick perfect height for me and incredible. Your not going to break this easily it is really nicely made and very strong it has an amazing grip head on it and just suck an awesome self protection/ walking stick. Great quality made to look just like the black thorn wood and is not to heavy and not to light a perfect balance it is truly a great item if your looking a walking stick that can double as a protection tool that won’t break on you this is what you want looks great and I don’t think it can be broke I mean I’m sure it can if you really wanted to break it but it would take some immense force you want do it back hitting something with it or with your power alone it is indestructible by human force alone great item and love it

I keep this in my trunk as an alternative for deadly threat and a quick thump.

Not exactly what I expected, but it wil make a serious dent.

Excellent walking stick. Tough. Comfortable for every day use. I've had mine for about 5 yrs.

Mine was leaning against a bench, it fell over, hit the floor and the brown capping piece broke off. Was not expecting that.
