The Blackthorn is found throughout Ireland and the British Isles, and it has been prized for centuries as a material for premium walking sticks. The most well-known incarnation of the classic Blackthorn stick was the Irish Shillelagh a tool that was so fearsome in trained hands that the English outlawed it! To circumvent this law, the Irish modified the Shillelagh into the classic walking stick that we are familiar with today. Cold Steel's modern interpretation of this beautiful and historically significant walking stick is made from high impact polypropylene. It's incredibly durable, and is easy to clean with a little soap and water.

It’s not blackthorne. If it is it’s covered in rubber. Very disappointing.guess I didn’t read the fine print😩

The craftsmanship is fantastic, and it looks great too. I imagine this stick could last forever with how solid it feels. It’s a five-star tool at a fantastic price—truly unbeatable value. If I had to compare it to anything, it’s like carrying an extra-long baseball bat with you all the time. It’s a little heavy, but that’s clearly intentional, adding to its functionality and sturdiness. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and impressive walking stick!

Great heavey doody walking stick . Haveing fun with it . It is a awsome destructive device and walking stick. The only thing i dont like is the handle it is to large for most of my freinds hands and im a big guy 6.3 ft. But other than that its a good cain.
