Cold Steel Two Handed Great Sword

Bought this last year, great sword. just as the picture showed. Heavy, sharp and well made. So happy I bought it!

Great sword. Shipping was a little sketchy but it still came.

I live alone in a forest full of bears, and I caretake a small village through the winter. This sword is only adequate for cutting snow cornices off roofs, but it's way better for fighting bears than my crosscut saw. It's much easier to carry, too, though I'd advise putting it in a scabbard for transport so you don't accidentally eviscerate yourself when you inevitably posthole up to your hips. Also be careful it doesn't slide off your snowmobile because the spring plow operator will have an aneurism if it gets caught in the rotary.

Bought one secondhand and it took 3 shots from a .308 to break, pistol rounds didnt even chip it until a .357 magnum hit the very edge of the blade.

This was the blade that I wanted for MANY years, like when I was a kid - watching Lynn doing all the commercial cuts with this greatsword I simply knew that would be me favourity sword and hell it is! (not the best one, but still top tier in the "cool" cathegory). Yes, it have many flaws as people mention in the reviews - it is heavy, balance is bad, blade is still too short to be called a greatsword - but this is kind of what I expected to get. Big, heavy, smasher and it works just fine. For me, the crossguard still didn't loose at all after years of cutting so maybe I got lucky with this one. Shiny, highly polished, good shape - I really do like this sword.

MY NEW PRIDE AND JOY! THIS THIS IS A BEAST AND CAN HANDLE A LOT OF ABUSE. SOON AS I OPENED IT, I YELLED "I... HAVE... THE POWA!!" AND WENT BERSERK ON SOME BAMBOO INFESTING MY YARD. THE SWORD WAS UN-ALIVING LIKE 5 SHUTES PER SWING! Only 2 things that kinda annoyed me was paper-thin leather on blade which I'll probably rewrap with kangaroo leather for strength or stingray leather for better grip. The other annoyance is handguard became slightly loose, but in all reality, I did push it hard on the bamboo. GREAT SWORD! GREAT VALUE! FAST SHIPPING!

I have had an affinity for edged weapons since preteen. My first cold steel was the Tanto, which I still have is in great shape and still love. I am career law enforcement and carried the Recon 1 folding Tanto and the Code 4 Tanto (off hand). I also carried a cheap OTF. Used as a utility blade. My family purchased the Two Handed Great Sword for my birthday! What a surprise. I have had a great time putting this awesome sword to my own tests. I’ve stated to many coworkers “you can run out of bullets, you never run out of blade”. The 2 Handed Great Sword is an impressive piece. This is a real deal sword that has held up great. I highly recommend it.

A fine piece of steel, nigh unbreakable so it seems. Has an excellent polished finish as well.

I purchased this sword around two years ago and so far it's holding up. I don't use it nearly as often as I wish I could, but so far it's held up to the few things I've done with it. I've chopped pressure-treated wood, for the simple fact that I could, not out of necessity, and it's survived. I've thrown it at my target in my backyard, and it didn't break. The steel is soft enough to flex, but not soft enough to lose it's edge. Which brings me to my only problem with this blade (which isn't really a problem if I weren't so careless). At one point, I dropped the tip of the blade onto concrete, blunting it. Taking my whetstone, I made an attempt to repair the tip (which was successful, after the fact). However, during the process, the whetstone slipped from my hand and I caught my thumb on the blade. It was a pretty gnarly cut, and trust me when I say I should have gotten stitches. But, a few dabs of super glue, a wrapping of duct tape, and a nice cushion of paper towel later and I finished fixing my blade. The manufacturers were not joking when they say this blade is sharp. It also seems that every time I take it out to use it, I manage to cut myself or poke myself on the parrying hooks, so I've taken to naming it Bloðbiti, or "Bloodbiter". Needless to say, I love this piece. When the zombies make their debut, so will I, and I'll be testing the waters with my baby until I become one of them.
