Have not witnessed being scented. Dead down wind appears to make quality products that assist in a more successful hunting experience.
Product works as intended. I have had multiple feet down wind of me this year and only one seemed to smell something or of place. I would recommend to other hunters trying to eliminate scent as best as possible. Any hunter beginner or expert should be able to use this product.
I got this for my hunting clothes. it also works well to hand wash musty tents. no more musty. it's just awesome. it's like the wd40 of detergents.
I have used Dead Downwind laundry detergent for 2 years now. I have tested the fact that it does not have UV brighteners in it. Also, it seems to help with the scent control. I use this product along with the spray. I have had many whitetail deer downwind and they acted like they knew something was there but didn’t know what and where.
This stuff is not strong on stain removal, but really removes odor.
During the off season I normally just use any dye and fragrance free detergent, but I always switch to Dead Downwind for my hunting gear during season. I was able to get within 12 yards of a Bull Elk last season and he just stared and kept sniffing trying to figure out what I was, by the time he did it was too late.
It’s all I use and it works. All items are great. I use the soap, deodorant, laundry soap, dryer sheets, wind detection and field spray.
For the price this product is hard to beat, I use this detergent a lot to wash any of the clothes I take while scouting or into the woods in general to try to keep my footprint to a minimum.
I have been using this for years. Works great, great addition to scent control regimen.

I’ve used it successfully to clean blood etc off my good hunting clothes. Only problem is they need to be sure container is closed when they ship. The bottle came open and it leaked out on other items in the bag.
