great little gun, exactly what I expected. 20LB cocking is great also a great 10 yd rifle.

It will shoot at 25 yds also, but wind will push the pellet around because if it's speed.

Trigger is better than I was expecting! Very accurate with H&N Barakuda Match 10.65 pellets! Very Nice Wood Stock ! If you want to spend $100.00 this is the Air Rifle you want !

It’s a Chinese made rifle but closest thing to a German rifle for a lot less ! Having owned 5 German RWS 24 rifles this one is Definitely recommended! I did mount a scope and grouped much better than with factory sights!

Using H&N Barakuda 8 pellets and out of the box after adjusting factory sights 5 shots all touching in one hole ! Wood Stock is Really Nice and Trigger is very Good ! Only a HW 30s would be Better but that would cost another $300.00 more ! I have a scope but will shoot as is for now !

Things I like. Wood stock. Cocking effort. Accurate. Fit and finish. An acceptable trigger.

I'm finding it hard to criticize any one aspect of this gun considering the price. The spring was a bit dry and in need of some lube. Not a bad trigger predictable albeit a little on the stiff side. I've had worse.

Mine came with a perfect chamfered inlet and crown. With Balistol I Clean, clean and cleaned the barrel before my 1st shot. As a result I experienced zero smoke and four shots to zero the 4x scope I installed. A bargan in my book. Fun relaxing $99 all day plinker out to 30 yards. And a good looker. I got a good one.

Low quality wood; barrel, dovetail rail and the stock arent in vertical line so it hard to mount scope correctly

Diesel right out of the box and inaccurate first 200 shots. Start accurate after no smoke comes out of the barrel, like econ2

It is an attractive rifle with decent wood and built for a junior shooter. The rifle is at a price point that you get bluing and wood along with nice iron sights and built in dovetail.

The grip is a little thick especially for a junior shooter. I would leave off the thick plastic buttpad and just make it thin aluminum to shorten the length of pull. I know you can expect too much for the price so I will leave it at that.

I read all the reviews before buying this for my 12 year old daughter. Accuracy reviews were mixed, buyers either got a shooter or a dud. Mine is a dud. Hard Air Magazine had a dud as well. I paid the 10 bucks to get the chrono and inspection which resulted in a 7 grain hobby at 509 low and 544 high. That's a crazy spread-nearly 10%. I was disappointed they missed a huge scratch in the wood on their "inspection". Also the ball detent has the set punch on the lip of the steel on one side so who knows how long it will hold up. Basically I bought this for her with the understanding if she learns and takes care of it I would get her a HW30. For a little over a 100 bucks it will serve its purpose-just know you are rolling the dice with this rifle if you get a good one or a dud.

Easy to cock, accurate, not very pellet picky and fit and finish.

Use a rubber but pad instead of hard plastic that it comes with.

This is a great rifle that looks and shoots well above it's price point, the stock is nicely finished and the metal is evenly blued. The shot cycle started out a little twangy and the trigger was heavy, long and a little rough but both have settled down and smoothed out after a few hundred shots and as easy as this is to cock that was the first day of shooting. This is the perfect all day backyard friendy shooter.

Trigger is on the skinny side, a wider trigger would help a lot. put some thread locker on the sight screws, mine came loose, so check yours.

Accuracy is fair, gun is definitely pellet picky, I tried over 15 different pellet types and brands and my gun much preferred a heavier pellet. As the pellet weight went up so did the accuracy. At 30 feet with 9.1 grain norma pellets you could cover it with a dime, with 7.3 grain falcon pellets you needed a 50 cent piece to cover it. I prefer using a lighter pellet for a gun in this velocity class, so not too thrilled about that. I was getting 576 fps with the 7.3gr pellet and 496 with the 9.1gr. If you don't want to pay the price for an HW-30 or R7 this is a decent alternative. Would recommend, just find the pellet it likes.

I own a Gamo Wildcat whisper in 22 cal which I soon discovered may have been "too much" rifle for my intended purpose, which was backyard plinking, to about 30-40 feet. Being somewhat new to airgunning, and having a bit of a tight budget due to 2 young children who are growing and eating at rapid speeds, I settled on the Diana Two Forty and am glad I did! You'll read in other comments that the gun is extremely well made (it is), that the blueing is decent (it is), that the cocking mechanism is nearly effortless (it is) and that trigger, while not a Rekord, is still plenty adequate in the price range (it very much is). My personal opinion is: despite it being produced in China, the Germans still have their fingerprints all over this rifle in terms of quality, and Diana has not only maintained it's reputation, but knocked it out of the park with a well-built, respectable, quality rifle that I have no doubt will provide many years of enjoyment.

Truthfully, nothing. It does what it was designed to do very well and has actually renewed my appreciation for the .177 caliber class. I like the fact that the safety engages after reloading the net round, some people may find that annoying, but it really does help slow the whole thing down a bit.

I very much prefer an open-sight/ Instinctive-shooting experience as opposed to using a scope. I understand that there are times when the occasion calls for a scope, but my passion in the hobby lies in seeing how far you can get out by using the "gun's eyes". The open sights on this are where I feel the gun truly shines. I own two of these, and they both shot slightly to the left, so my experience with them has needed me to adjust slightly, but once I got the gun squared away it was off to the races and has been an amazing journey ever since. I could not be more pleased with the Diana Two Forty, or with PA for the order follow-through. My hope is that they will continue to carry this gun because I see great potential in having these "out in the wild" Pick up a copy for yourself, my guess is that you will not be disappointed.

beautiful gun real wood and steel , easy to cock , light and handy , decent accuracy out to 20 -25 yds once you find the pellet it likes

i have tried about 30 different pellets so far it likes jsb simply wadcutters and daisy pointed , both group around an inch for 5 shots at 20 yds , most others were 2 to 4 inches with some over 6
