Description
Two years after the success of the Hercules PCP, Hatsan listened to its fans with a revamped and streamlined version—the Hercules Bully. The Bully brings the hard-hitting power of the original to a compact bullpup ready to push any pellet around with ease.
The biggest change over the original Hercules is the introduction of a synthetic bullpup stock and the removal of the rear tank in favor of a single 500cc carbon fiber cylinder. These improvements are the big reason why the Bully weighs nearly 3 lbs. less and reduces its length by 12-inches. The all-weather stock includes an easy-adjust comb for finding proper cheek weld and features a textured grip and forearm to find a secure hold. Looking on the underside, shooters will find a lot of bonus features from the integrated swivel sling studs, easy to read manometer, Weaver bipod mount, and even a storage space for your extra magazines. The mag storage holds two of the three included rotary magazines on deck while you shoot the one loaded into the breach.
Just because the Bully is a smaller airgun, don’t think for a minute it can’t punch out of its weight class. This PCP won’t sacrifice velocity and knockdown power and remains a formidable target shooter and hunter. Each rifle is available in .177, .22, 25, .30, .35, and .45 caliber with corresponding muzzle energy of 50, 60, 75, 115, 150 and 290 FPE! Shooters will have no trouble cycling rounds with a quick pull of the long sidelever action and its 2-stage trigger can be set to your preference. Once you fire, your report is dampened by a fully-shrouded barrel with Quiet Energy (QE) technology. Each barrel is precision rifled and choked to ensure your rounds fly true.
The big perks of this small package continue in the optics layout. Each rifle includes detachable flip-up Trueglo fiber-optics sights and a lengthy 9.5” 11mm Dovetail/Weaver combination rail that can accommodate any setup you can imagine.
You asked--Hatsan delivered! When you need a PCP built on a proven platform locked and stocked with features, let the Bully boss your ammo around!

The power on my .45
What Others Should KnowMy bully I bery bad for accuracy some times I not even know where the slug hit hit up down and side to side
Nothing.would not charge. After 1 hour I was able tocharge it.Went to shoot it and the first slug jammed in the barrel.O ring fell out of cartridge area
Things I Would Have ChangedI would not buy it.Sendi g it back for refund
What Others Should KnowDo not buy.Piece of junk.Going to buy Seneca light hunter
I liked the design and looks of the rifle
Things I Would Have ChangedThe clips only accept certain pellets, that not mentioned in description. And it try and see on your own.
What Others Should KnowI would buy another type of air rigle if you want .30 cal
This is definitely adequate for home protection!
Things I Would Have ChangedVery loud, make sure to wear hearing protection.
What Others Should KnowWell built powerhouse!
This is a really great rifle. I have shot all my life and decided to go down the air gun road due to cost and availability of ammunition. This feels like a real fire arm. Sounds like a 22 rifle. Has a lot of power. Once sighted in, I was able to place 19 shots in a 2 inch center to center. I bought the Air Venturi tank and use it with it. Works great.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowTon the internet you will see some complaints about the front grip and moving of the picattany rail affecting accuracy. I used a UTG bipod and never experience that occurring. This is an awesome gun. No regrets. Just make sure when you attach the tank adapter to the fill probe threads that you use plumbers tape and cinch it down with a crescent wrench. Otherwise the tank on the air gun will not fill. Took me 30 minutes googling to find that tip, appears a lot of people had to figure that out online as it is a common complaint for first time PCP owners buying a Hatsan.
I purchased the Hatsan Bully .30 cal based on my experience with the Hatsan Blitz .30 cal, which is an amazing airgun! I was looking for another .30 cal, and decided on the Bully based on reviews and the styling of the rifle. The rifle is accurate, although I did replace the included sights with a scope.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rifle itself is okay, but it does not pack the punch of the Blitz .30 cal - which it should surpass, and it doesn't. I use steel handgun targets, and the Blitz will swing the target almost horizontal, while the Bully barely makes it move. The quality is less than desirable as well: mold flash and sharp edges all over this rifle (I sliced myself a couple of times on the sharp edges).
What Others Should KnowThe Hatsan Blitz .30 cal is a great airgun. However, this model leaves much to be desired, and Hatsan needs to either lower prices or add better quality control for their products - I returned the Hatsan Sortie .25 cal as well for poor quality.
excellent value for the money. Gives me a tight pattern (1 inch) at 50 yards. Very well balanced with no recoil.
Things I Would Have Changedhaven't found anything yet.
What Others Should Knowthe rail going the full length of the barrel offers a challenge when mounting a scope with a large bell. I purchased high mounts for a 9-16X40 AO MIL DOT. The bell still touched the rail. I had to an extension for the rail to give another 1/4 inch lift. I always buy the 10 for 10 when buying a gun. Pyramydair is always great to work with but sending a defective gun back is a pain. It's worth the $10
The gun is very easy to shoulder despite its heft and size, and the location of the charging handle allows you to cycle the bolt while keeping your gun shouldered and your eyes on target . My 357 is set up with a Hera Arms QCR front grip, a red dot and a 3x magnifier and is extremely accurate. At 30 yds shot kneeling with a bipod mounted I was stacking up slugs. At 60yds a full magazine chewed up a neat 1/2 Inch circle in my target...speaking of slugs, NSA hp in 93gr performed flawlessly. The slightly longer 106gr hp work as well, but require extra care when loading. All 3 magazines provided with the gun worked, and with about 70 or so rounds shot to date, the gun has preformed without any hiccups.
Things I Would Have Changedthe manual has the two screws used for trigger adjustment switched out. Just remember the rear screws is for adjusting pull.
What Others Should Know1. The gun is shipped out with a horribly set trigger,Shooting it as is is really a waste of air and ammo.while trigger adjustment is simple and there are a few videos on line that walks you through the whole process, I fail to see the reason behind the factory setting, and that is why I rated the gun a 4. that said, 2 full turns for pull and half a turn for travel gave me a short, crisp trigger,
2. Unless you plan on only shooting it on the range or the great outdoors, a silencer is another must. The Ronin from DonnyFL keeps my neighborhood happy, but you can go bigger...
Love its weight and balance

The balance of this form factor is great with the weight towards the back. I can hold and control it one-handed if needed. Would be a great bush rifle with that weighting and the short 36" length. The power of the .45 is incredible, slinging 180gr Vortex slugs in the 860-870 fps range out of the box. It's also shockingly accurate. Laser sighted at 20 yards at home, was stacking slugs at 25 yards and grouping at 1" at 50 yards easily. I also like the high report volume because I'm mostly shooting at a range with vets and hunters and they genuinely love that the Bully sounds like a cannon.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe action was rough when I first received the rifle. It cycled, but not smoothly and not all the time. A little silicone oil on the magazines and the mechanism, a very slight adjustment to the magazine stopper, and 20 rounds later it was cycling like butter. Still does. This is where Hatsan needs to do better...I'm not dinging them for this because my issue only took a few minutes to adjust, then was perfect, but those details should be tight out of the box.
What Others Should KnowThe negative ratings on this rifle are mostly for one of two things, an air leak (usually due to a simple o-ring issue) or cycling issues (usually a minor alignment fix). Have Pyramyd do the 20 shot test and the 24 hour PCP leak test. I had that done with every other rifle and all have arrived ready-to-go without issues.
