Made in the USA, the Forward Sling Mount is a sling attachment point for the Mossberg 590A1 series of shotguns which clamps onto the barrel and magazine tube. Designed specifically for the A1's heavy walled barrels, it can be configured for use with either Push-Button QD Sling Swivels or one-point clip-in style attachments such as the MS3 Paraclip, the HK hook, ITW MASH hook, and others. Made from precision cast steel that is Melonite treated for wear and corrosion resistance. Dedicated fit for Mossberg 590A1 models with factory extended magazine tube and will not fit other Mossberg models.

Added a Magpul Forward Sling Mount to my Mossberg 590A1. I also added the Magpul SGA Stock and Magpul Forend. All Magpul parts are well made and top quality. I decided to camo all the parts and used spray paints in OD base with black, brown and sand.
Worked great on my 870 with the rifled slug barrel. I'd suggest adding that to the website if it isn't on there. I ordered the forward sling mount specifically for my 870 and didn't check the OD of the original barrel with the new one. It did not fit. Luckily found a thread stating the forward sling mount for the 590A1 would work.
I received this today and installed it on my 590 A1 and it fits perfectly.. like every other Magpul item my own these are VERY well made. Installation was very simple instructions are very easy to understand and apply. Thank you so much for producing such awesome products in the United States of America!
I took a chance and bought this hoping it would fit on my Winchester 1300 Defender. It fit like a glove, it's great to have a mounting point without worrying about shooting the sling. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is you have to remove it to clean the shotgun.

This is much better than the magazine tube end sling mount. It brings the sling end away from the muzzle.
Excellent quality and versatile. Repaced the poly sling mount my Mossberg came with. This will probably out live me.
