Description
The P2P HDP 50 is a personal defense tool that launches 50 caliber pepper balls capable of stopping an attacker in his tracks. 4 of 4 Prepared 2 Protect HDP 50 Pepper Round Reviews
I like the weight, balance, and sights. The orange color is good, to visualize to police that it's not a firearm. I also like the strike feature to activate the CO2, a good safety feature and for storage.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would add a CO2 cartridge
What Others Should KnowDoesn't come with a CO2 cartridge, you'll need to add that to your order
Everything
Things I Would Have ChangedThe orange. Changed mine with rit dye
What Others Should KnowThe mass confusion on the Gen2 I still don't understand the whole gen3 valve thing it's extremely confuseing. Its actually bullshit and makes me look at Umerex different.
I have had mine for over 2 yrs.. Don't try to shoot paintballs with it. Doesn't work very well. However, you can shoot the plastic balls, pepper balls and the power balls. Not to mention, I tried steel shot, too heavy. So, I purchase some aluminum 50 cal balls off of amazon and it shoots them very hard. Wouldn't want to get popped with one of those.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish it held more than six shots.
What Others Should KnowPaintballs will gum it up. DON'T DO IT !!!

Accuracy is good just like the previous gen 1 and 2
Things I Would Have ChangedChange back to the gen2 valve and detent as the gen3 leaks after 50 shots and can't fix it anymore. Detent much sooner as well. Don't put gen3 valves in launchers that say gen2, pay for the new packaging instead.
What Others Should KnowDon't buy it you know it says Gen 2 they come with Gen 3 valves now go with defense innovation model they have it's for sure gen2 and it's more powerful. The new valves don't have a heat core o-ring they're just metal on metal so after a little bit of use it starts the week a little bit and you can't fix it. With the Gen one and gen 2 you just popped the O-ring out and replace it with higher quality Duro and you're good to go but now you can't do that so they're pretty much worthless especially if you want to do HPA cuz mine started leaking on just CO2 my other Gen 2 valve has a thousand rounds through it using CO2 and HPA. So I would stay away from buying any new hdp or tp50s even if they say Gen 2. also had a separate experience with umarex customer support for my previous hdp i got elsewhere and man it was terrible. They were rude and just totally unwilling to help or offer any solution etc.. keep it in mind the umarex warranty is a joke.
