The Escape is the perfect size folding knife for everyday carry but still has a tremendous amount of capability with its one hand-opening blade. Integrated in the handle is a line cutter (perfect for cutting cord, string, seat belts, etc.), a glass breaker for extreme emergencies, our patent-pending wire stripper, and extra line cutter blades (which are stored under the handle slab). The Escape is one of my favorite folding knives. I use it on and off duty. On duty I have used this knife to cut deployed airbags, seatbelts, broke out vehicle glasses, popped doors open, cut straps, cut bags off of perps, and many other things that I can’t remember right now. I have no complaints about this knife. It does everything wask of it.

Great knife overall. I have had it for almost a year now, and use it daily. Blade is still sharp, and no major issues. Only reason this is not getting a 5 star review is because of the "thumb studs." For a knife that is considered a "Rescue" knife, the studs are a bit of an annoyance. I keep this knife clipped to my pants pocket. If I needed to get out of my seatbelt and bust my window open as quickly as possible, I would probably die. The studs are so thick and protrusive that they cling onto the side of my pocket liner. In an emergency, I am not sure that I would be able to get it out in time. That said, the quality of the blade and handle is exceptional.
