Very well balanced, nimble, mid-sized tactical knife. I hike with this on the outside of my backpack or on the shoulder/chest of my tactical vest. It complements a larger ESEE-CM6. Visually, it appears small out of the box, but I found the handle efficiently ample and very ergonomic. The blade performs big and feels proportionately balanced with the handle. Can't yet speak to performance in extreme conditions or durability, but it seems destined to excel in both areas. Comes very sharp and ready to use. Sheath is top notch and very stealthy looking. Overall, a terrific mid-size knife.

I have upwards of 20 or more SOG knives. Some collector, some used, some used hard. I never have had one that didn't perform how it should. I own dozen of knives and SOG is my favorite brand. This one is no exception. Razor sharp out of the box. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this knife at the Grafenwoehr Germany PX. I believe it was around 1999/2000 time frame. It stayed on my Army LBV until I retired in 2012. It is still serving me well in the field and on the waters. Great blade and a very good investment in this tool.
