SOG Surrept/02 CS Organizer, Charcoal

I wanted an understated CCW backpack that had ability for water bottles. This bag delivered 100%. Gray color (IMO, looks silver in pics) and techy. Love it.

This was too small for my needs so, i returned it for the larger 36 CS. I wish the return process was easier, and didn't take so long to get approval.

Excellent for a short trip, I managed to pack enough items for a 4 day trip. I wish it had some feature to secure the straps after the adjustment is done, I hate to have that extra strap material flying around.

My initial impression is this is a great little backpack. It Holds a full size laptop and I love the EDC hidden compartment

I've only got a couple weeks with this bag but that time includes 2 trips to the Mayo Clinic for appointments. The pack is fairly comfortable. My only comfort issue is that the shoulder straps rub a bit on my chest, this hasn't happened with any other pack. At this point, I'm unsure if it's a strange adjustment issue or a design flaw. I haven't carried per say in the compartment behind the shoulder straps. I have stored a pair of spare mags for my G19 during those medical trips as a comfort option. I was unable to feel the difference whether the mags were there or not. The overall size and storage options are good. I'm able to easily carry my normal EDC loadout with space for extra snacks and a packable down jacket (January in Minnesota) after going from the parking garage to the medical complex. The amount of internal organization is sufficient. I haven't yet used the bottom compartment but plan on storing a packable rain jacket in there for easy access during the warmer months. The external water bottle pockets are adequate depth but I'd prefer more. To compensate I use velcro cable wraps to help secure the water bottles (I used 3/4L aluminum bottles) to the side carry handles. Steelheart

I work in a very professional urban environment (suit & tie downtown setting) so I wanted a bag that looked professional and was practical for my EDC but had the ability for me add some tactical gear and this hits it out of the park. Super-sleek looking and professional yet durable. I love the document sleeve, I feel like so many other "gray man" bags just have a laptop and giant main compartment and I need a way for papers and other work stuff to not get crumbled. I added the 2oz organizer pack which is perfect to stow away some preparedness gear in the hidden storage pocket if I need it. Also, an underrated feature is with the structure of it, it usually can stand upright and doesn't fall over every time you set it down. The only thing is I wish the admin pouch was a little deeper to throw some extra odds and ends in. The top grab handles are pretty small and not as easy to grasp but get the job done.

Overall a great daily carry pack but isn’t perfect. The shoulder straps like to loosen and come out of the buckle. If the loop would have been sewn the opposite direction, it’d create a barb that would keep the strap secure. I did this fix myself and it’s a game changer. I also think this bag should have included some kind of retention for a firearm. My pistol stays decently secure but sometimes shifts and inhibits my ability to draw quickly. Construction and materials are well above par. A few adjustments by the SOG team, and this bag could put competitors out of business. As is, I still stand behind this purchase.

Edc backpack. Low vis. Perfect size. Works as advertised.

Most people looking for a low-vis “gray man” backpack would go with Vertx, which therein lies a potential problem. All others wanting to be low-vis can easily spot those with a “low-visibility” backpack, like their own. SOGs pack is lesser known and therefore was a good option for me. Pros: -Excellent construction -Comfortable -Great organization for edc gear -Professional look -Perfect size to be fully equipped, while not looking like a mountain backpacker -Minimal logos Cons: -Price point

I just got this bag in the mail yesterday and just filled it with all my daily goods. It's awesome. Perfect size for my needs. Holds my work 14" Thinkpad nice and snug. The gray color is darker than I expected based on most the pics and I love it even more. The secret compartment for your DC or whatever is nice with plenty of room. A couple gripes, but not enough to mark it down. The bottom pouch is a nice feature but tough to get into, doesn't open very much. I wish there was one or two small side/zippered pockets but I bought this bag knowing there weren't any. The clips to adjust the chest straps are difficult to maneuver but not a huge deal once you get them set. Would buy again!
