Description
The Umarex Prymex Break Barrel Air Rifle delivers surprising performance and features at a very affordable price from a respected and dependable manufacturer. It is capable of velocities up to 1100 FPS with alloy pellets and 1000 FPS with lead pellets, both in .177, which yields the necessary power and accuracy for pest control, small-game hunting, and plinking.
This air rifle features a gas piston powerplant that provides shooters with smooth and consistent operation regardless of temperature, with less noise and vibration for improved performance with lower recoil. It can be left cocked longer than a traditional spring piston, and it does not suffer from spring fatigue, so it can provide years of trouble-free use that will not degrade over time.
The Umarex Prymex utilizes a lightweight all-weather polymer stock that makes it easy to carry for long periods, and it has a textured pistol grip and a textured and grooved forearm for a stable hold. For precise shots without needing additional equipment, this air rifle offers several options. It includes a hooded fiber optic front sight and an adjustable fiber optic rear sight. In addition, it comes with a 4x32 scope that attaches to the 11mm dovetail optics rail.
To get an air gun that offers flexible features with a focus on providing high value at a low price for small-game hunting, plinking, and pest control, buy the Umarex Prymex Break Barrel Air Rifle at Pyramyd AIR today.

10 of 20 Umarex Prymex Reviews
Very accurately, light, powerful for both calibers love the scope, non existent trigger travel, very user-friendly 18" barrel pretty much, no recoil. And the amazing price for it and its gas piston, which is amazing for that price.
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter rear iron sights cuz i had to design and calibrate and 3d print an fixed rear iron sight for 30yds after that i never had problems again also add a picatinny dovetail combo mount for more optic options
What Others Should KnowIt is hands down the best break barrel pellet gun I've ever had and for that price you can't go wrong and Surprisingly, I was able to get the provided scope to be extremely accurate. Also, the twenty two caliber version is amazingly accurate at a hundred yards with crosman premiere Hollow point fourteen point three pellets i was able to hit exactly dead on at 100yrds with no wind let's just say I spent a lot of time at the shooting range experimenting and shooting lots of rounds to get familarized with it. But this isn't my first rodeo.
Hunting and kayaking
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowI always 1 shot muskrats swimming in water. Accurate w iron sights.
Affordable, Powerful, accurate enough for my needs
Things I Would Have ChangedI wouldn't bother including a scope. I couldn't get mine to hit an 18" square target at 20 yards. Took off the scope, eyeballed the adjustment on the iron sights, and I'm slapping the target.
What Others Should KnowMine likes Crossman round ball and the Apollo pointed 15.4 grain. Copper spitzenkuegel pointed pellets are all over the place as are h&n silver tip.
For the price it is a well made gun , good materials and finishing. The price is very good. But don’t expect a field target rifle for the price. It’s a good air rifle for eliminating small pest . The trigger is not ajustable and it’s heavy , definitely not for long bouts of plinking.
Things I Would Have ChangedPlastic stock for wood , the gun has plenty of power , the stock is too light.
What Others Should KnowIt’s not a bad gun. You can use it it with open sights , but mine seemed hard to use that way. A good scope like a center point 3-9x32 will do the job. It’s powerful enough for small pest and iguanas. The only gripe I have about my Prymex , bought at pyramid, is the trigger pull, mine is very strong. Anyhow I can get quarter size groups at 18 yards with inexpensive CP 14.3 domes. I’m happy with the purchase of this gun , and i recommend it . Pyramid is a good place to buy Airguns .
Great deal on a good performing NP
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger a little stiff but not bad with practice.
What Others Should KnowAfter 1500 plus different pellets in .177, I found that .177 round ball ammo groups closer and are more forgiving on how I hold it. Actually round ball ammo is all I use now. 60 years shooting air guns, great value.
I got 848 feet per second with a 14.3 grain 22 caliber domed Crossman Premier pellet. The stock is of very good quality and is stiff. The recoil pad is firm and not too soft. The sights were very good and have quick acquisition. Accuracy was acceptable. Once you over come the trigger pull issue with practice, you can get nickel size groups at 25 yards.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rifle's trigger is not adjustable. The pull on mine was about 9.5 lbs. You need to add an adjustable trigger. Mine also had a barrel droop issue. I tried two different scopes and mounts to verify this. Eventually, I had to purchase a droop compensated scope mount in order to zero my scope. I would suggest that the manufacturer test for barrel droop.
What Others Should KnowI found that the video on this sight indicated that the trigger was adjustable. It is not. Also many reviewers also indicated there was some adjustment. They were mislead. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. I would stick with using the open sights as the scope is only ok in quality and you may end up with barrel droop like I did. It would be ok for a kids gun but not much more since the trigger pull is that of a shotgun.
not pleased with this air rifle, I would like to return it
What Others Should Knowvery hard to cock and close, louder than can be used in the back yard
It's a cheap air rifle!
Things I Would Have ChangedIt's too hard to cock, not that accurate so far, trigger needs a two-stage trigger, and don't put a scope in the box
What Others Should KnowNo!
bought the 177 version and liked it so much I bought the 22 cal version as well. Hits hard, accurate and very light.
Things I Would Have Changedfor the price, nothing
What Others Should Knowthe iron sights are great, dont even bother with the scope.

Solid built rifle that’s great buy at price point. Lightweight is a plus.Great accuracy.(recently put 4 out of 5 shots through one hole at 11 yards.Fifth just outside-with “iron sights”.) Have found several pellets that group well. Doesn’t seem overly picky with artillery hold or pellets. The shape of stock seems to help with trigger pull and recoil. Just the Best Buy in a breakbarrel in my estimation.
Things I Would Have ChangedIf one thing I would change it would be the front sight hood. And I did. The original is too small and walls too thick. Obstructs sight picture too much. I own 3 of these rifles, 2 are scoped and this one is dedicated to “iron sights”. May become my favorite!
What Others Should KnowBest accuracy has been pulling stock to shoulder tightly with my left hand (I’m a lefty)while a straight back pull on trigger with finger tip. Right hand just cradles rifle at balance point ahead of trigger without gripping. JSB 18’s,H&N Baracuda Extreme, and others group well but each rifle may be different . My best (and one hole is good enough!) are the JSB Hades 15.9 gr. The front hood was made with 1/2” copper pipe connector and painted flat black. Cut 1/8” slot and spread to slide in place. Top cut to light fiber optic. Will try to send pics.
