Umarex Zelos PCP Air Rifle

Everything, this rifle straight out of the box is a 10 for10 in my opinion. I pretty much just swabbed the barrel a few times out of habit and mounted a scope, and it put out some same hole shots each time I loaded a new mag. It's perfect.

Make it in .30 caliber.

As far as bang for your buck this one is way out there, if you need accuracy this is it.

Love the bullpup design, very accurate.

The hammer strikes the valve pin through the middle of the magazine. There is a brass guide cap that screws in place that can come loose. When it does, the hammer will strike the backed out guide cap and really mess up the threads and snap the valve pin..

Be sure to check that that cap is tight when I get mine back from repair or they send me a new one i'm going to put some thread locker on it. It ruined the entire valve assembly because you can't put the cap back in with the threads ruined.

I purchased the 25 cal. Tube version. I'm very happy with the power. Out of the box, it's launching a 26gr pellets well over 1000fps. It's noticeably lighter and better balanced, front to back than other guns, with less power.

The cocking handle seams a little week. I have not had any problem with mine so far, but I'm very jental with it. The sound it makes when shooting, is a mechanical ping. Not a satisfying pop, I get from my other pcp's. I would like to have it in 30cal.

This is my 2nd (actually 3rd, as the first one went back for an exchange) Zelos. I love the accuracy and noise level of this gun. Have run both a Sumo and a Ronin on it. Not quite whisper quiet, but close. Good shot count, good power. I sold my other Zelos to help finance a Karma EQ. Other than having more power and adjustments, that gun was a letdown from this one. Not near as smooth...more of a "brute force" gun than anything else. Sold the Karma and got anothet Zelos.

I don't know that I would change a thing. Mine is a .25. Love it.

My first Zelos was more pellet picky than the subsequent ones. This one likes FX atomics and JSBs in 25.39gr.

Regulator set at 2200 psi, 25 shots with 25.39 JTS and 25.39 JSB monster Hades at 875fps, 43ft lbs, and gives me 5/8 groups at 50yards, for 30 ft lbs remaining energy.. way more shots with 21.14 Baracuda Match and regulator at 2000psi. Nice shot cycle. Operation of the cocking lever is smooth and light. Trigger is good. Could be better. Can be adjusted to pretty good. Solid build. External regulator adjustable. Threaded 1/2 UNF. I use a Tanto and it is stupid quiet. No muzzle noise. Without the Tanto its loud enough to be annoying. Two mags included and they are good. Nothing flimsy or floppy on this gun. No fill probe required. Dual gauges.

I would be nitpicking.... I don't know, two stage trigger, or shoot slugs better whatever that entails..... Asking a bit much i think for the price I think....

I paid $500 for mine elsewhere. Sorry PA. Couldn't pass it up At full retail it's still a 4 to 4.5 star gun. You'll see guys on the web taking this thing to 50ftlbs. Mine isn't happy there. I havent been able to shoot slugs accurately yet. So far I'm staying under 45ftlbs. Last thing, be warned, messing with the hammer spring tension is not covered in the manual. I believe that's because it's touchy, counterintuitive, and yielded little gain.... if any. Of course clean it upon receipt, then every 500 shots, (mine gets crazy when its too dirty) and follow all directions.
