I did a lot of research and picked this crossbow as it fit my budget. Price, quality and overall feel of the crossbow were factors in my decision. It’s a nail driver.

Up to this point im a month in it is a tack driver no issues. I'm very happy with this crossbow I have added a few things to it to make it better. But it is good out of the box. It is a good buy. I have already taken 1 buck with it and looking forward to more.

Really good all around crossbow. It feels pretty lite to me and it was sited in dead on when I unpackaged it. I haven't shot a deer with it yet but I'm pretty confident that it will do the job!

I purchased this crossbow because I gave mine to my dad who wanted to get out in archery season. I primarily hunt with a compound, but always have a crossbow for when its the perfect weapon for a given spot. Be it lack of cover, hunting close on the ground, or in someone else's stand that is to tight for a vertical bow. I purchased the model without the crank because it was lighter and cheaper. Mentally as a compound hunter spending big money on a crossbow hurt my head. Anyway as you can tell from how this review is going I really didn't care about it, it was a tool to be treated as such. After I got it I dismantled the whole thing and happy I did. Alot of fasteners where barely snug at best. I reassembled with blue loctite and torqued down. The pic rail for the scope was the worst for looseness, took zero pressure to back them out. I lubed the rail and the cable glide below, the string serving just from sitting on the shelf were separating already. I ordered the new cables and string, pressed it removed the axels and greased when I put it back together. To replace the cables removing the axel is required. I pulled it from the press and repressed until timing marks were correct. Waxed the string and put back together. I put on a hawke scope because I dont like the idea of not being able to adjust marks for different weight heads. After everything was greased tight and threadlocked I was finally able to shoot it. Trigger is terrible, enough travle to aquire air miles. Once you get use to it, its manageable. Its amazing how many people with high end bows have been drawn to it because of its weight being so light, then they feel the trigger. And its like they just ate a sour candy just like what the heck just happened. Then its reminded its a cheap bow. Then I covered all the bright white writings on the limbs with camo wrap. you would think everyone in the archery hunting industry would understand whitetail vision, at least make it all orange. Any way so I've dinged this bows in many ways so im sure your wondering if I mistakenly put 5 stars. No I did not, though it required alot of work to shoot the first bolt, it shoots their cheap bolts fairly well once you get use to the long trip called a trigger pull. Sense having this bow I have dropped it out of a 12' tree stand, fell with all my weight onto it on a rocky hill in ohio. I mean like comical fell, straight back bow hit the ground before any of my body feet included. While cocked. After I quick limb, limb, cam and string inspection I was on my way. It fell off the roof of my car bounced and landed in a deep puddle. Sat in a down pour for ten hours (make sure you wax your string!). This bow has been beaten down and shows up to work every time. I have grown to love this thing even with all the things I hate about it. Its compact and light and had been through everything I could possibly have to worry about it. Sense Sept when I purchased it, I've taken two white tail and a nice tom. One of the whitetail the rail was full of snow, dropped the bolt right behind the cross airs. This thing makes me happy that I bought it, its earned the respect I have for it. After season I will replace the strings again. Give it a complete tare down limbs and all oil, clean and grease everything. Limb pockets, oil the trigger box, and it will be ready to roll though another season with me. Everything I've put it through is my own fault and im happy its taken it. Most people cringe at the idea of only one of these incidents happening to their bow and the commander has taken them all. I hope it got its name because it commands respect.

I work in an outdoor store and we sell crossbows. After shooting the others and seeing the problems we were having with other manufacturers, I chose the wicked ridge. For the money I feel is the best crossbow available.

Very pleased with the purchase of my new crossbow I’ve never owned or used a crossbow in the past. The M1 Commander is precise, accurate, and easy to learn. It came completely assembled, after a couple of adjustments to the scope, I was able to harvest a nice doe on my first attempt! Pretty sweet!
