The AA 24gram 7 1/2 shot has been the most reliable ammo shot after shot in the nearly 1/2 million rounds we have gone through. We only want to use Winchester AA for our competition!
I have shot these AA loads for decades, and I've always been a big fan of Winchester field loads as well. Typically I do not use these for target shooting, but rather for upland birds, typically woodcock and ruffed grouse. You gain an edge using a manufacturer's best quality products, and the hard shot patterns very consistently and penetrates very well. The 12 gauge Heavy Target load with 1-1/8 oz @ 1200 fps (formerly known as 3 dram equivalent) is a long time favorite, plenty of knockdown power on these birds at typical shotgunning ranges. I hope they keep making them for years to come.
I bought a case of these for a new gun. The black printing [ink] on the shells is wet and sticky. It is a real mess. I had to dump the boxes out on the table and wipe every shell down with a cleaner than repack the boxes. After some online research I see I am not the only one. How can this still not be solved?
We have been shooting the 12 guage AA Super Pigeon and the results are wonderful. Consistent patterns that flat out works on doves, quail and pigeons.

Super Sport shells are hands down, the most consistent American shell money can buy. I have shot 10s of thousands of rounds without a single misfire. If you want the title of HOA, Super Sport will get you there.
Great shot patterns and clean burning powder. Ported barrels don’t gum up as quickly compared to using other brands.
Best reloading hull in the world. Sometimes maybe two out of one hundred cases will fail to crimp Or precrimp like a soft near the folds. Is there anything I can do to help?

The 980fps 26 gram 12 gauge loads work great in my 1891 falling block 12 gauge. Lets me shoot my well over 100 year old shotgun safely and without worrying about damaging anything. Feels super light and almost like shooting a 22.
