By loading the exceptionally sleek 168-grain Nosler AccuBond Long Range (LR) projectile, Winchester provides the high-country hunter with a round that "cheats the wind" and delivers devastating terminal performance at distances where standard bullets falter. The Expedition Big Game LR in 7mm Rem Mag is a "laser" in the field. With a Ballistic Coefficient of 0.616 (G1), this 168-grain load maintains its energy with surgical efficiency. At 2,900 fps, it offers a remarkably flat flight path, requiring less holdover and making windage corrections much more manageable. Because it utilizes an Expansion Tip bonded bullet, it provides the match-grade accuracy needed for the mountains and the rugged terminal performance required for the freezer.

Selecting Winchester Expedition Big Game LR was a no-brainer after booking an African Plains game hunt in South Africa. It performed as intended and didn’t “break the bank”. I was very thankful they offered this in 6.5 Creedmoor.
This round has performed excellent on mule deer for me for several years now! One shot kills.

Highest long-range .30-06 energy available for bear & boar. Zero locked in 4 shots. 4th & 5th went through same hole, from clean cold barrel of 50 yr. old rifle. No Creedmoor tops that. Bought a case of 'em & looking for more.
I will never shoot anything but 6.8 western for my long range hunts again. These bullets shoot great. Way to go Winchester!!
The good news: In 6.5 mm Creedmoor, this 142 gr Accubond LR is extremely accurate. I get 1/4” 3-shot groups at 100yards with my Bergara rifle. The bullet expands very well on whitetail deer; I shot a 185 lb buck and a 120 lb doe with heart-lung hits, and each went less than 40 yards. The bad news: Penetration is lacking . Those 2 deer were shot at ranges between 50-80 yards, and the bullet did not pass-through (exit) either one. Upon entry, each bullet broke 1-3 ribs, went through the heart and lung tissue, and then lodged in the off-side shoulder or upper leg. While the deer were killed, there was essentially no blood trail. Lack of a blood trail could result in a lost deer, if hunting in thick brush/woods.

Great ammo all the way around and I love the Nosler bullets I reload and these perform as good or better than most of my best hand loads.
