Athlon Midas G2 UHD 8x42, Black

I got these binoculars primarily for bird watching but I’ve also used them at the beach, pre hunt scouting, and sporting events. I was happy with the size as extended times with a bigger set could have been a bit too much. The lense clarity was truly amazing. The ability to focus on your object so easily made it easy to find birds and easy for photography as well. I am very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend these to friends.

I've gotten more into birding and wanted an upgrade from our ancient 8 x 42 Bushnells and little 10 x 25 Nikon Trailblazer. These have been fantastic. Enough eye relief adjustability to work for both me and my husband (I wear glasses, he doesn't) and the clarity, field of view, and color are wonderful. The included neck strap is pretty comfy, and I really like the attached lens caps. I know these are more midrange than top of the line, but having had them for a couple months I don't see myself outgrowing them anytime soon. They're exactly what I need/want for bird and wildlife watching.

You have to compare apples to apples when it comes to optics; in this price range, these Midas G2 binos are the clearest I've seen. Period. Are they as clear as Swarovski or Leica? No, they're not. But, they're much more affordable and worked EXTREMELY well on our recent trip to Alaska. I'm impressed, to say the least.

I’ve been using these 8x42 binoculars for birding, and they work really well. The image is clear and bright, even in lower light like early morning. The 8x magnification is a good balance. It’s easy to keep birds in view without too much shake. They feel solid in hand and are comfortable to use for longer periods. The focus wheel is smooth and makes it easy to quickly adjust when birds are moving.

These binos offer fantastic optics at a reasonable price. I've been using them for urban birding, and the image is very clear. I look forward to taking them with me on future travels

When I first put these binoculars up to my eyes, the image was shockingly crisp and clear. At home during the winter I usually use a pair of Steiners with a 60mm objective. They’re very good glass, so I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed. But when I looked through these Athlons—especially considering I already own several Athlon rifle scopes—the clarity really stood out. The image is incredibly sharp and bright. As much as it pains me to admit it, the view is even clearer than my Swarovski Z3 scope. I realize that’s not a perfectly fair comparison since one is binocular and the other is a rifle scope, but that’s honestly the level of clarity we’re talking about. Needless to say, I can’t wait to put these to work during deer season.

Amazing clarity and field of view. Nice rubbery texture, feels solid and durable.

These are incredible quality, especially for the price. They are clear and let you see pretty far.

These are great binos. Ive tried many brands before but these ones seem like best of all of them!
