Things I Would Have ChangedCan't think of a thing.
What Others Should KnowI bought two, about 18 months apart. The first one died after three years on my HW97K (about 12,000 shots). Sent it to Athlon on 12/7. On 12/16, a new one arrived, free of charge.
While recently purchased, it has worked very well for me so far. The reticle is easy to use and the illumination helps on darker days. The side focus is a must have. Price range is also a plus.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would like a slightly heavier reticle for my old eyes.
What Others Should KnowEye alignment is very critical on higher power. I shot the smallest group of my life with it on a Walther Reign .22 cal. at 25 yds measuring .125 C-C for 5 shots with Air Arms 18 gr D. Field Heavy. The combo is poison on Starlings.
Optics were very clear.
Things I Would Have ChangedParallax is a little tight. I put a parallax adjustment wheel on and its perfect
What Others Should KnowI used high mounts you will probably need high mounts as well.

Verified BuyerExcellent look and feel. Positive adjustments. Clear and bright glass. Love the reticle. Precision reticle really allows me to zero in on my target. Side mounted AO is accurate and easy to turn with just enough resistance to hold in place shot after shot. Great for field target.
Things I Would Have ChangedWish there was a wheel for the side AO. I think the illuminated reticle is unnecessary, but it's there for those who want it.
What Others Should KnowThis is an incredible scope for the money. I mounted it on my HW 98 and was shooting 5/16" to 3/8" groups at 25 yards the first time out (once I had sighted in the scope). I was shooting off shooting sticks. Reticle is a huge help to my aging eyes. I could do without the illuminated reticle (will probably never use it).
Mil hash reticle with mil turrets. Good magnification range. Decent glass. Reticle is accurate at 18x.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot that it's bad, but a slightly more forgiving eye box at 24x would be nice. Eye box is comforable in most lighting conditions at 20-22x.
What Others Should KnowNice budget scope. I have two.
