Barra Sportsman 900

Good to teach kids. Not very sturdy wish it was metal instead of plastic but decent enough for target practice.

Very happy with our purchase. My son was looking for a lightweight, easy to use air rifle for critter control on our property and this fit the bill perfectly. The iron sights out of the box were dead on and the included 4x15 scope was easy to install and get a suitable zero. The trigger guard “blocking” safety is a great idea as well with an audible click and ease of manipulation.

This is my first bb-gun. The rifle looks cool, and the pump action is excellent. But the safety is a pain-in-the-butt. It almost seems to need two hands to operate, one on the safety and one on the trigger. I think the intention is to have the safety pushed forward and then touch the trigger to lock the safety in the off position, then aim, and pull the trigger to fire. However, we were unable to get the safety to properly disengage when moving it to the off position, so when firing, I had to use a second finger under the trigger guard to push the safety back a little further. It is definitely weird. Several much more experienced shooters had similar experiences with my new rifle. I'm not sure what's the matter, me or the rifle's safety mechanism, but it doesn't seem to work properly. In addition, the chamber would often get stuck half-open and wouldn't budge. Not sure what that was about either. I'm sure it's mostly user error, but like I said, a couple of hunters tried to use it and were thwarted too.

I just bought the 900 and super simple start up right at the get go. Instructions very straightforward and to be honest- accurate for such a inexpensive item. I surely appreciate the company's request to offer a gift in exchange for n honest review... only a reputable company does that. No wonder this item is sold out. I may look into other products. We'll see :)

I bought this a little under a year ago it works well but if your gonna be using it in rough conditions make sure the nozzle at the front is screwed in mine fell of and made my gun unusable until I learned how to fix it other than that amazing product

It’s also teaching him responsibility and safety — big bonus for this nursing school mama! Highly recommend for beginners, backyard sharpshooters, or anyone who wants a no-fuss, fun-packed air rifle. 10/10 — “The Backyard Beast” delivers every time!

this gun is crazy accurate. I swapped out the original scope for a 4x32 and this gun was splitting golf tees at 10 yards.

It’s got a nice punch on it and it’s comfortable to hold
