Caldwell Brass Retriever Multi-Caliber

These are awesome. Have used them before and a friend talked me out of mine and had to replace it. Great for picking up brass

Works pretty well, just have to understand it's limitations and adjust how you use it.

I bought this and it is easy and fun to use. It picks up .22rimfire -45-70 centerfire cases on flat hard surfaces very quickly. I picked up about 200 -9mm cases in a few minutes .I found on crushed stone surfaces it takes a little effort to get the small cases up. I keep what I want for reloading and the rest I take to the scrap yard for cash. It is a very well made product that works great!

I got this about a year ago and finally got to use it. It was picking up my fresh rounds, but the handle wanted to slide back into the extension and was hard to tighten down to not slide. I also tried picking up the other brass from previous shooter but it had trouble picking it up. I will have to take a better look at it to see if I can losen the adjusting sleeve. I'm not sure if I can recommend this retriever. I would like a exchange one.

Great product. I love the ease in which I can retrieve loads of brass without having to scrounge on hands and knees or pick up a ton of crud with a broom. The retriever picks up brass and brass only, leaving dirt and debris behind. Telescopic handle is great, reduces in size so that unscrewing handle allows me to fit in my range box for easy transport. Why only four stars? This is a great tool, it isn't perfect but it is the best one I have tried to date. If you pick a case up length wise it is more likely to stovepipe in the wires holding them open and allowing already retrieved cases to fall out. retrieving larger caliber cases when you are holding smaller caliber cases also results in some of the smaller cases falling out. This is really not an issue as you just need to watch for the stovepipes and pop them in when you see them happen and just know that you may have to redo a couple of 9mms after grabbing that .45. Really not an issue but solving this would make it a 5, I cannot think of any way to fix this so as of now 4 is the best rating I have given a brass retriever. (All of my use has been on concrete and asphalt, I don't know how well it works on loose dirt or gravel.

This thing is awesome!!!! I am a self proclaimed brass goblin. When at the range I will snag almost any caliber that is reloadable. I used to spend the last hour of my range trips hunched over picking up shells one by one, or sweeping a dusty sandy mess into a bucket. Now I can pick up brass easily and efficiently with almost no effort and no strain on my back!!

Didn't picked up brass effectively. Appears to be a low cost copy of the UniqueTek Brass Wizard. Though I'd save some money but that is a clear example of "You get what you pay for".

I bought this a month ago and took it shooting. Waste of money! Didn't hold the ammo. Didn't pick up the ammo either!
