With a great steel like CPM M4, in my opinion, it should come with, or have the option to, upgrade the scales to something better suited to giving a more reliable grip in wet conditions than G10 scales do, in almost any situation. I have a Bush Ranger Lite with GFN scales, and I don’t use it without gloves because the scales are too sharp on the hands, whereas some Micarta scales give a very strong grip in any condition, and are easy on the hands. Just a thought for some aftermarket sales so we can “upgrade” our knives and take them to more than an off the shelf piece, and customize them to suit our needs and tastes. I know that the G10 scales are “textured” for a “grippy” feel, but they’re still just G10 at the end of the day.
