The Diana Chaser is a CO2 air pistol that excels at plinking cans and shooting paper targets. It is a backyard-friendly shooter designed for both outdoor shooting sessions and indoor target training when the weather turns against you. Fueled by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge, the Chaser is a finely balanced pistol with a streamlined synthetic frame.
Once you are ready to shoot, load a single CO2 cartridge, cock the smooth bolt-action, load your pellet. Then, pull the trigger to send your round downrange at speeds up to 525 fps in .177 or 460 fps in .22. While the Chaser only needs a single CO2 cartridge, a storage area in the bottom of the grip can hold a second CO2 cartridge to keep more air power on deck. Each Chaser features fixed front blade sight with an adjustable rear sight and an 11mm Dovetail rail to mount a scope and zero in on targets.
Diana includes a single shot tray for precision shooting, but the Chaser accepts the same magazines used by its big brother the Stormrider. With the addition of indexing magazines, transform your single-shot Chaser into a multi-shot repeater pistol! The indexing mags hold 9 shots in .177 and 7 in .22 and cut down your reload times significantly. The magazines are sold separately but are readily available here at Pyramyd AIR.
If you want a lightweight pistol that’s built for dropping cans and peppering paper targets, choose the Chaser and see what your plinking sessions have been missing!

10 of 150 Diana Chaser Reviews
This is the best airgun you will get for this price. It is easy to use, accurate and powerful, but as always, take the manufacturer's FPS with a grain of salt. The recoil is minimal, the bolt is easy to cock (unless you change it), and so far it has fired every pellet Ive tried in it. The coolest part is that the Nomad Golden Trophy pellets performed the best compared to more expensive ammo (various H&N shapes and weights), which just so happen to be the cheapest pellets you can get from pyramyd air. Ive gone through 6 magazines with one CO2 cartridge with some to bleed when I stopped. It is also very easy and fun to open up and customize to your personal liking. The weight is solid and it feels like a quality product in your hand. I truly recommend this piece, especially if you're looking at a BB/Pellet gun in or above the same price range. If not, do like me and get a C11 and 430 for like $20 and $40 each and have semi auto bb, pellet and this bad boy.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe grip feels weird. I replaced it immediately with a 3D printed 1911 style, but Im now waiting for my wooden grips to really get it feeling nice. It does not come with a magazine and they are pretty expensive no matter where you can find them. It's about as bare bones as you can imagine. The rear sights are easy to break and it is almost impossible to remove the front sight. The case it comes with will fall apart if you use it on a regular basis. The co2 chamber in the handle is pointless unless you don't mind the rattling sound of a cartridge every time you move. BUT...it's only $80 and it shoots GREAT! My complaints are nitpicking the places where they had to make choices that would allow such a great MSRP. Buy it and grab some of those Nomad Golden Trophy FTs and you'll be shooting like you spent hundreds more with a home range that allows you to skip paying to rent a lane for an hour. My goal was to skip the range a bit, but since buying this, I haven't been back.
What Others Should KnowOnce I bought the .22 I couldn't help myself from grabbing the .177. If you like tinkering, tuning and customizing, this piece has tons of modifications that are easy to install. Compared to other, cheaper airguns I have, this one is by far the easiest to disassemble and reassemble when making changes to it. The only thing I would say about this aspect is that the mod parts can be difficult to find from US sellers and can be costly to import via international shipping. The best thing you can do is research all of the parts you want to play with (hammer, hammer spring/weights, air transfer port, valve assembly/spring, etc.) and make one order from a single seller who has all of them so that you can combine shipping. It is much easier to find parts for the 2240, so if you want to open it up, it's just as easy to do with easier parts to find. I just liked the Chaser more. If you need new seals, don't overpay for "proper" rubber washers and just use flat washers instead of round.
I have the kit both .177 n 22 they are the best value for the money. It’s so versatile n accurate within 150 ft lots of flying rats can’t testify .
Things I Would Have ChangedA better multiple shot applicator .
What Others Should KnowThe silencer really works without it , it’s loud
This Chaser pistol is an excellent basic platform for upgrading and modifications. I bought the basic pistol in .22, and modified it with an Artemis rifle barrel and suppressor, stiffer aftermarket spring, walnut/aluminum grip, AR-style hand-guard with rail, folding wire stock, and target scope.
Things I Would Have ChangedI found the grip uncomfortable in the basic pistol configuration. If you use the attachable rifle stock (found in the Chaser combined pistol/rifle kit), your hand position will change enough to make the grip comfortable. I wish a multi-shot magazine came with the basic Chaser pistol instead of just the single-shot loading tray, but I understand that would increase the cost. I prefer aftermarket magazines, anyway though, to the ones Diana ships with other versions of this gun.
What Others Should KnowThis is my third airgun that uses this same basic, reliable CO2 mechanism sold by different companies under various names. These have been quite popular in the UK and continental Europe in recent years, and for good reasons: reliability, upgradeability, and value.
I find it ergonomic, accurate, and convenient with it's magazine that is absolutely fine after you've done it a couple of times. The trigger is also pretty good.
Things I Would Have ChangedInclude a magazine with the gun. You shouldn't have to buy one separately. I'd Make the magazines more affordable.
What Others Should KnowNot pictured. This comes in a foam lined sippered storage case that is quite nice. Buck Rail makes a suppressor that screws on and off. Maple custom makes 12 round magazines for this gun. Pyramyd sells some replacement parts. All very cool..
I have owned 4 Diana's.. pistols except for a combo rifle/ pistol kit... I must say ... I LOVE THE DIANAS... ESPECIALLY THE WOOD STOCKED PISTOLS... SUPER A CURATE AT 10M... I VAN PIT . 22 PELLETS ALL IN A DIMES SPACE... AT 60FT+ ITS STILL VERY ACURATE ONLY SLIGHT NORMAL ADJUSTMENTS.. ITS SMALL FRAME IS STILL QUITE COMFORTABLE... MAGAZINE HELPS.... I JUST ORDERED ANOTHER DIAMA PISTOL.. SO.. MY OLDER BROTHER AND I VAN SHOOT GRAIN EATING RATS.. OR TARGETS... BY THE WAY.. IM 72 YRS OLD... NEVER TOO 9LD TO BE YOUNG!!!
Things I Would Have ChangedI would want threaded barrels to a vept noise suppressors
What Others Should KnowWether it's your first air gun.. or looking for a new one YA GOTTA BUY ONE.. YOULL LOVE THEM.!! #
A lot of pistol for the money. Very well made. Nice having a left side bolt for us right handers. Trigger is OK. Good number of shots per cartridge. A solid candidate for modding. Lots of aftermarket parts made for these Diana pistols. I actually like the grip and the look. Decent accuracy.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing for the price.
Size, weight, balance, trigger pull, quality of materials, ease of operation, and precise functionality. Everything about this gun says "quality", right down to the precision of adjustment to the rear sight! The trigger is a joy to use out of the box; light with clearly defined stages and clean break. Accuracy is superb and consistent! Loading/unloading CO2 cartridges is simple, precise, and with no waste of gas. I got 52 shots from one cartridge shooting pellets ranging from 5.25gr - 8.64gr. The left-hand bolt works smoothly and precisely, and can easily be de-cocked.
Things I Would Have ChangedWould be nice if the threaded muzzle end was a standard 1/2 x 20 instead of the M10 x 1.00; that would leave far more options for a suppressor.
What Others Should KnowThis gun comes with a single-shot tray, but NOT a magazine! So if you want/need a mag, that will add significantly to the overall cost of the gun. That said, the mags are metal (except for the clear cover) and work well for me. I also have not noticed any degradation in accuracy using a magazine. The gun also comes with a nice little carry case with cut-out foam to secure the gun, a tin of pellets, two magazines, and what looks to be room for a suppressor; however, the latter must be for one from Diana. I purchased a suppressor from Buck-rail which works superbly on this gun, but it's too big to fit in the foam cut-out. Also, If you keep the suppressor mounted on the gun (as I will do), and/or you mount an optic on the gun (even a small reflex), then it makes the case unusable. The case is a "nice touch", but I'd rather the gun come with a magazine instead of the case, and put the cost of the magazine towards a more accommodating case. Just my 2 cents :)
Accurate - Liked feel - Good number of shots per air cylinder.
Things I Would Have ChangedThere is a significant problem with barrel seals falling out. I was lucky to find the smaller seal a few times on the ground, but I ran out of luck and could not find a replacement part. The first time the larger seal fell out, it was stretched out of shape for some reason. It must have gotten pulled by the cock pin. I can't find replacement parts without buying a bunch of other parts. It is too expensive to make up for a poor design plan.

This is my first CO2 airgun. My other airguns are springer rifles so I have nothing to compare this pistol to. It is inexpensive, seems to be made well, is accurate for what it is. I have the .22 caliber and it shoots low even with a full cartridge at 10 yards. The front sight is a plastic and I can easily file it down to get POA/POI where I want it with the pellet that groups the best. Until then I shoot at a closer range, or stick more sight post up through the rear sight. The .177 might have a better POA/POI. Looks like I get 40 consistent shots before the CO2 starts getting low and another 10 useable shots being 50 total. The cartridge will loose air overnight so I only install a cartridge when I have time to shoot 40-50 shots. The trigger is very good and the pistol is a good trainer for shooting a firearm handgun except for recoil control of course.
What Others Should KnowI bought an aftermarket suppressor.

The weight, balance and accuracy of the pistol right out of the box. I made a small adjustment to the windage and now I'm dead on at 30 feet. I bought the magazine to give me 7 shots with .22 cal but found I prefer using the single tray. The mag seems to block out the front sight a bit, ( at least for me ), I'm only plinking so there's no rush for me. Overall a fantastic target pistol for this cost.
Things I Would Have ChangedAt this price....... Nothing
What Others Should KnowThe handgrip on the Chaser is small enough that kids or people with smaller hands will be able to use it comfortably. Have fun with it, You can't go wrong with this one.
