The decapping pin is flawed. It’s too large to de prime Lapua brass, specifically 308 Palma brass, but I’m sure their other SRP brass is also an issue. It’s also weak, so if you sand it down to be able to do Lapua, it will break. It’ll also break on its own. Don’t buy this until they launch a 2.0 version with a replaceable pin. Trust me. Use your dies. They all have replaceable pins. Pin breakage is a well known issue, but them making it too large to do some brass is idiotic.

first round of 556 gets stuck on the pin, set screw rounds out while trying to remove brass. Waste of money yet all my other Frankfort arsenal equipment is fantastic

I bought this deprimer a few weeks and it works well. It's a better option over setting up a small reloading bench just to deprime brass. It works well with commercial brass, but I wouldn't want to do many military crimps as they can be a struggle. I scrounge local gravel pits for brass and this tool allows me to deprime most cases without the need for several different shell holders. One downside is the primer collection tube is only held in by tension, it's easily knocked off and should be threaded. The other is the spring tension to raise the die body needs to be adjusted after 150 to 200 cases.

I have deprimed well over 1000 44-40 and 45 LC with no problem and now doing 45-70 also with no problem so works great for me but would be nice to know if you offer any extra parts incase something does break..

This is a must have for anyone who reloads their ammo. No need to worry about breaking pins in your dies on a bench press. This item should be one of the very first tools a reloader owns. Makes a good starter job for the kids and grandkids to do so they can help out and learn about the craft! I wish someone could have recommended this to me when I began reloading.

Yes this works and is very simple. I wish they would have done a few things that would make it a better experience. For example the collection tube does not have a push in twist lock. It's just push in and genital twist which after 20 de-primed rounds or so the collection tube pops off and everything goes flying. The head where you put the case in to be de-primed doesn't really move up and down as you squeeze the handle. Rather you have to keep your thumb on the back so it rotates up so you can pull out the de-primed case out, as well pushing the head down with your free hand when you squeeze the handle. The head loses up and really just flops around. I haven't damaged the de-primer pin yet but an extra would be nice. I have done over 2000 rounds.

What a perfect tool for being able to deprime dirty shells without having to worry about washing first to not ruin a die on the press. And all very mindlessly while watching TV. Perfect solution.

I am new to reloading and have more then 20 calibers I plan to reload. This is very fast and efficient to use. 200 plus rifle cases take me about 15 minutes to deprive. straight walled cases are a touch slower. By owning this I can deprime my brass and clean it. I found it more cost effective then by spare decapping pins for multiple calibers I own. Plus the primer pockets get pretty clean because I deprime first. My brother loves his too!

Just received this de-primer, it works good. Instructions could be more explicit about what sleaves could be used for what cartridge. As it reads now one can only use it for .223, 30-06, 308 and magnum. I want to use it for hand ammo. One suggestion, thread the catch port for pop bottles. Current catcher does not stay in place.

Bought a few months ago to deprime before tumbling. The main issue is I use Peterson and Alpha Brass and they have .60 sized primer holes. This makes the hole smaller than the depriming pin. Not Frankford Arsenals fault. So I tried a smaller diameter (other company) primer pin and now the deprimer works but the case gets stuck, requiring the case to be pried out. Again not an FA problem, but they don't have a solution to the small primer hole problem for shooters of Peterson, Lapua, Alpha. For this reason it now collects dust in the equipment drawer, other wise it is a nice piece of gear.
