Magpuls DAKA GRID Organizer is a fully customizable drop-in organizational solution designed to secure and protect your most sensitive equipment when stored or transported in a hard case. Individual Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) end panels and center panels nest securely together to create a storage solution that maximizes protection and increases versatility. Organizational DAKA Blocks are easily pressed into the GRID Base in your preferred configuration and can be quickly removed and reinstalled to fit almost any item. Magpuls DAKA GRID Organizer is a simple, drop-in storage system that allows for endless customization. The EPP GRID base was designed to fit perfectly in between each Pelican case and comes with a set of GRID Blocks that can be organized to brace and secure rifles, clips, optics, accessories, and other gear. The lightweight EPP blocks provide advanced protection and eliminate shifting of gear during transport. The overall result is better impact resistance and stronger protection for your gear than you'll get from current foam options. Offering numerous advantages over traditional foam or expensive laser-cut inserts, the DAKA GRID Organizer provides intuitive, modular organization at your fingertips. The system can be completely reconfigured without tools or additional cutting. Perfect fit for my pelican case, it’s modularity is so convenient I can use it for all of my long guns.
I think it’s a good product but needs customization with cutting to make it work with larger scopes and fixed bipods, folding stocks etc.. After I created a pattern for my folding stock my rifle sits perfect. It would be great if it was more customizable on a smaller level. Blocks are big but with a little patience it will look professional. Check out my photos.
Nice to be able to change setups for different guns without storing foam
When I first saw the DAKA grid at NRAAM 2023 I thought it was a genius solution to a common problem. The DAKA grid allows me to transport different firearms in my pelican case in a custom configuration without keeping numerous sections of cut foam, which is a huge upgrade for utility. It is not a cheap upgrade, but I felt it was good value for the modularity and convenience provided. It’s a really clever concept that I didn’t know I was waiting for until I saw it. I’m glad it finally came out for the hard case I own.
Fit perfectly in my Pelican case. Holds my rifle rock solid. Pretty impressed overall. I like that I no longer have to keep several cut foam inserts in my closet for different weapons.
The DAKA grid fits very well into the 1720 case and comes with enough blocks to adequately secure one rifle while letting you change which firearm you’re carrying without having multiple pieces of cut foam. If you’re interested in carrying more than one rifle (magazines, ammo, handgun, etc.) I would highly recommend picking up spare blocks for proper fitment and organization.
I was so happy to see that Magpul was supporting the Eyelar 44" case. Having to sell a case just to get another case is not fun. My grid and parts arrived this morning. I stripped out the old bottom foam. Placed the DAKA foam inside. Inserted the DAKA Grid base. And, started modifying the grid for my rifle. Easy to install. And, anything inside this case will not move. Goodbye foam squares! Love this!
I fitted the 1720 grid system to my 1700 case and while not ideal it is much better than the supplied foam. Please consider a grid system for the 1750 and the 1700.

Outstanding as usual. Will buy others to replace the stock foam.
