Got up in it don't know if I'm going to sleep or hunt at 60. Either way I'm good I added all accessorys. cant wait till hunting season.

I've had two of these and both of them have failed on me. One the metal broke where it's attached to the stand, the other where you tighten it to keep it at the desired level. I love it when there's not something wrong with it though.

I put this gun rest on my open shot climber that I have had for 20 years and it works perfect. It is built to last.

While this product works… it needs A LOT more R&D…. It’s extremely loud and squeaky and you have to torque it with maximum effort, making it squeak even louder, for it to support the weight of your rifle. Once it’s set and torqued to the sun it functions well though.

I’ve had the Open Shot for about 18 years and it’s still going strong. I have the older non-flip up seat version. Easy to use, lightweight and easy to carry in, quiet, and comfortable considering how spartan it is. Very much suits the need I had for it.

Not had chance to shoot at anything with this yet, It does seem reasonably solid for a 200 yd shot. It is probably about a pound. It does fold out of the way for travel and does not seem to be in the way while climbing or similar activities, so I'm optimistic this will work out. You want to look at how it attaches (and adjusts) to the stand as I have some doubts the fasteners will make it past a few seasons. I've bought their saddle bags and other items that I thought were a little flimsy, but I'm still using them 15 years later. I'll be happy to be wrong. I also think these larger stands you need this, to avoid leaning too far with the bigger stand.

This will fail. I am making PVC adapters to ensure this can bear weight. It is a great idea but with poor execution. They need a more robust locking system.

Directions putting together not good, haven't hunted with it yet crossbow season next week well see

Sadly, it seems Summit Treestands deleted my original review. I STAND by my review. I purchased the Adjustable Gun Rest ONLINE on 31 Oct 2022 from their website. As soon as I received it, I installed it on my Goliath stand. Granted, the instructions remain non-intuitive and the diagrams provided appear as though this company does not want you to fully understand how to install it. However, I did eventually discern a way forward and successfully installed the rest. On my very first hunt the next day with the new rest in place, while resting my weapon upon it to merely steady my scope and view the surrounding area after hearing a noise and trying to investigate it, the rest collapsed down onto the front bar of the stand. Unable to determine what happened, I re-raised it after loosening the knobs, re-tightened the knobs and attempted to scope the area again. The rest collapsed again. This time, I left it collapsed. Because I sat up in a tree, I could not see why the rest would not stay in place. Upon returning home, I more closely scrutinized the gun rest and its components. I quickly realized one of the a 'metal' part had literally snapped off. noted to disassemble it and inspect it once I finished my hunt and returned home. because at the time, sitting high up in a tree, I could not see why it was not holding up and was not until I returned home enabling closer scrutiny I realized a 'metal' part (one side of one of the Gun Rest Adjustment brackets) had literally snapped off. In my opinion, in no way, shape, or form, since it seems to be designed to support the weight and pressure of a hunter resting their hunting weapon and probably their forearm upon it, should weight and/or pressure applied to the rest cause it to crack apart, unless the part is defective. Upon further inspection, the part seems to be made from lightweight material, but I am not a metallurgist. To dispel any thoughts about the buyer having abused the part or slammed his brand new treestand and Adjustable Gun Rest around, while in his possession (my possession), this stand did NOT receive any impacts...accidental or deliberate...which might have caused any damage to contribute to the breakage. Bottom-line, NO PRODUCT should ever break when it is brand new out of the box, short of catastrophic circumstances, again, which, since it has been in my possession, my stand did not suffer at any time.

It is a straightforward installation, and I'm excited to try it next season.
