Description
Take your self-defense preparedness to the next level with the Vortex Defender-CCW 6 MOA Red Dot. It’s perfect for compact EDC pistols and boasts the popular Shield RMSc footprint. A CR1632 battery powers the 10 brightness levels with a 9,500 hour runtime. Giving the battery an efficiency boost is an auto-off feature that shuts the optic down after 10 minutes of inactivity with motion activation. That way, it’s always ready when needed and turns on automatically when drawn from a holster.
It’s built out of a single-piece aluminum chassis meant to withstand abuse and features the Fast-Rack™ Texture for easy one-handed slide racking. It’s fog proof, waterproof, shockproof, matte black anodized, and ships with the Vortex VIP Lifetime Warranty. So, if it does somehow manage to break, it’s covered. It’s a lightweight optic that tips the scale at only .95 ounces with an overall length of 1.6 inches.
Windage and elevation are both adjustable in 1 MOA clicks. It includes a shim plate, a Picatinny rail mount, a rubber cover, a lens cloth, a CR1632 battery, a tool, and 6 sets of common mounting screws.
If you’re finally ready to put an optic on your defensive pistol, then check out the Vortex Defender-CCW Red Dot. Buy yours from Pyramyd AIR, today.

Love my Vortex dots. I have one on 90% of my pistols, can't beat the quality for the value.
Great glass clarity, crisp bright dot. Holds zero perfectly. Comes with all the mounting screws you'll need. Optic mounts on an Sig P365 series factory slide and mates with the slide's raised recoil bosses perfectly. Top mount battery compartment means no change in zero when you have to change out the battery.
I rated this as a 8 because I just don’t have enough time on it to verify its accuracy and ability to maintain zero after hundreds of rounds. The product mounted up nicely and looks great though!
Dot is easy to pick up! Once I got it zeroed. It’s been on the money.
I have been a little hesitant to purchase this Vortex model, but I'm glad I did. I was on the fence about the rough textured surface on the face of the optic but when I put it on an EDC gun which I believe I'm pretty rough on, it began to prove it's worth. Word of warning, don't use the face to rack the slide on a surface that is wood, soft, or will scratch easily. Learn from my mistake! This optic is good for EDC and all skill sets, particularly for those new to red dot optics. I plan on purchasing a closed emitter for another firearm. Can't beat the warranty.
Works great , awesome it comes with all the screws to fit a lot of firearms. Fit my Sig P365 perfect.
Glass is very clear and red dot is crisp. Currently have it mounted to a Mantis training pistol, so I really can't speak on how well it holds up to recoil. Eventually it'll live on a subcompact pistol.
It’s a great little dot, slim profile, easy straightforward mounting, crisp dot.
I have a Holosun 507 on my Sig 365 Macro. It works flawlessly. I decided to try a Vortex product for the first time. I purchased this optic to be mounted on an HK CC9. I will say this optic performs as well as the Holosun and at this purchase price it's a steal . If your shopping for a very good optic, this is the one to select.

I mounted this on my CZ P10C and it could not have went smoother! All the hardware I needed and then some was included and I did not need a mounting plate. Great Dot with a clear beautiful view! I was able to sight the dot in right away and very easily as the dot was close to on target when installed. Highly recommend this dot and this brand.
