Wicked Ridge Commander 400 Crossbow

I got this bow for my grandson. I wanted an American made crossbow. Easy to sight in, just few shots is all it took. It shoots very flat and accurate. We pick out a different bullseye each shot to protect the arrows. Scope is very clear. Overall seems to be a well made crossbow.

This is my first crossbow and I'm very happy with it! I've shot it about 15 times so far and it was accurate out of the box just a few small tweaks and I was on zero. I am a new hunter and can't wait to experience my first hunt with my new crossbow. I'm glad I spent the money I did and got a upper mid tier crossbow from wicked ridge by tenpoint for a great value. I was surprised how lightweight and easy to hold it is. It is the perfect crossbow for anyone who is trying to get into archery or bow hunting without breaking the bank. I would like to thank you tenpoint for making such a quality crossbow available to people on a budget like me. It's a small piece to making my dreams come true. It will surely give me or anyone using this crossbow an edge in the field. Wish me luck in becoming a proficient hunter.

Purchased about a week ago, out of the box the scope was right on the money. I truly hope you stand behind your product. I purchased wicked ridge because of the 5 year warranty, and the recommendations from friends.

A bit heavier than my barnett expedition, accuracy seems great so far, scope is a lot nicer than what my barnett came with, assembly was a little trickier than expected as the plastic vibration dampener we came off in shipping and the YouTube video didn't address it. This bow may be a bit quieter than my barnett but not much, and the Cranking is noisy but consistent cocking is appreciated. I do wish it had an adjustable stock and ambidextrous safety( you can switch it side to side but I want it on both at the same time). Overall I would say excellent value.

The commander 400 is a reliable crossbow and very affordable for its value. Out of the box it patterns well between 20 and 40 yards? Groups within a 2” circle and is light enough and shoots fast. I’ve only shot target so far. Looking forward to using it on Whitetail this season. It replaces a 15 year-old TenPoint that I owned and is much lighter, quieter, and faster than that crossbow. Technology continues to improve as does the cost of equipment. Affordability is important to me.

I am a first-time crossbow owner. I like the bow very much. However, the documentation and instructional videos are out of date. For a first-time owner, that was problematic.

All of the directions everywhere say to focus before sighting in by turning the nonlocking ring on the back of the rear bell, but nowhere does it say that you need to remove the scope cover from the scope. It took me a while to finally try to take the scope cover off of the scope. It would have saved me a lot of grief thinking that the scope that I had did not have a focus when it was not in focus.

Let’s start with assembly, one bolt, one cable slide, lube rails and done! Sighting in took four shots and I was ready to go. Love the Peak Camo with black limbs. Felt solid, great in the hands and deadly accurate. Every feature I wanted for a low price.
