Athlon Midas CF32 Carbon Fiber Tripod

I've been needing to upgrade my tripod for a while now. I took this shooting multiple times now. The experiences were great. There are 2 things that I would modify to make it perfect. A more user friendly knob for tightening the ball and a throw lever for the arca mount versus a knob. That being said, it works very good as it is currently configured.

Great value for a carbon tripod. Comes with many accessories which is nice. The adjustability and stability is a plus. Taking it to the range soon.

It is light and strong and came with good accessories. I use it mostly for spotting and ranging targets.

This replaced a reckon CT that I had for many years. it is definitely more solid and everything about it is smooth from the extending legs to the locking Arca rail to the top ball head. A very well-made tripod but the only negative thing I can see it is a bit heavy not the most ideal for backpack hunting, but I’m still gonna give it a shot.

Bought the tripod to use with my spotting scope but equally important to use with my 300 WM (silly heavy). Tripod is light but very stable and easy to adjust to any terrain.

The construction of the cf 32 tripod is very robust and comes in a bit over five pounds. I was very impressed with the ease of adjusting the legs, leveling head, and ball. I plan on using this for glassing, star gazing, and as a shooting platform. Based off my first impression, I think it will hold up well for many years to come. This is my first experience with such a well manufactured tripod and had no problem mounting my spotting scope to the tripod. Can’t wait to do a little star gazing with the family!

This tripod delivers the performance of tripods twice the price. After shopping all the major brands, Leupold, Vortex, Bog, Siruiu, and several others both my dad and I decided to buy the Athlon CF32. The tripod comes with everything you need to use for either optics or shooting with the exception of an Arca Swiss adapter plate for your rifle. They even throw in some nice accessories others don't, as well as a well made storage bag. The ball head is strong, smooth and rigid enough to hold even the heaviest rifles or optics. I look forward to shooting of this tripod both on the range and in the field. We also elected to get the Athlon Saddle mount which clips directly into the Arca Swiss plate on top of the tripod, so we can literally use the tripod for any firearm we own. Highly recommend.

This tripod is sturdy, easy to adjust and a great starting point for learning long range rifle skills.

The tripod itself is very well made and sturdy. The only reason for the 9 rating is there is a slight amount of play in the design of the ball head. The ball head overall moves very smoothly and is fluid. It is also sturdy enough to hold my 15lb FX Impact m3 airgun without falling to a side. In fact, I can remain relatively stable and have confidence in making 500 plus yard shots on deer sized kill zones. The height is also perfect for anyone around 6' tall, maybe even slightly taller. The tripod offers a great sturdyness to weight compromise over the CF36 and 40. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to future generations of Athlon's product line.
