Magpul X-22 Backpacker Stock Flat Dark Earth Synthetic for Ruger 10/22 Takedown is a compact, drop-in stock that lets the taken-down barrel and forend snap securely into the buttstock for easy packing and storage, including with optics mounted. Hinged compartment under the comb holds three 10-round mags or a 50-round box plus a 10-round mag, with removable spacers for customization. O-ring sealed pistol grip compartment holds batteries or small parts. Front/rear QD sling mounts on both sides. Anti-slip rubber butt pad; compatible with MOE SL Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad (sold separately). Includes interchangeable standard and 0.5" optic-height cheek risers. LOP: 13.75". Weighs 18.25 oz. Option sling swivel mount vicinity forward hand guard screw hole lo mount one of your bipods. Need a hole in the first magazine well so it will close up on the bare swivel.

The Magpul Hunter X-22 Backpacker Stock is a fantastic upgrade for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Fit and finish are excellent, and installation was quick and easy. The barrel and receiver lock together securely for transport, making it compact and rattle-free. Built-in storage for spare rounds is a great touch, and the ergonomics and balance are noticeably better than the factory stock. Durable, lightweight, and very well designed. Highly recommended for any 10/22 Takedown owner.

This is a good fit for the 10/22 takedown. It comes with the high cheek rest as an option in the package. QD kits fit well when purchased and then installed.
Love the way it looks and functions. However be careful with the hatch for mag compartment. Mine broke pretty easily. It could have just been a flaw and they did replace.
How convenient, to have three mags in the stock, no problem fitting to the takedown. Bought the butt stock pad to add to the length of pull. Didn't change the point of impact. Also bought the quick disconnect sling kit added a single point sling. All good.

One of the best 10-22 takedown stocks I have ever handles. It is very lite, but very rugged. I'm building this 10-22 for my grandson. I want to get him started early like my father did for me. Magpul, continue to make quality gun stuff and you will be around for my great great grand kids!
