Magpul Pro 700 Stock Folding Flat Dark Earth Synthetic for Remington 700 SA is a true drop-in precision chassis for right- or left-hand Remington 700 short action rifles via a swappable bolt retainer plate. Reversible folding stock secures the bolt handle when folded and locks solidly when deployed. Type III hard anodized aluminum forend and V-bedding block with 21 M-LOK slots. Includes two interchangeable polymer pistol grips with 0.75" fore/aft trigger reach adjustment. Integrated AICS-pattern mag well fits PMAG 5/10 7.62 AC magazines with ambidextrous Melonite steel mag release. Comb adjusts fore/aft, reverses, and raises up to 1"; LOP adjusts 13.3"-15.2" tool-free. Height/cant-adjustable rubber butt pad. Three steel QD sling swivel mounts included. Includes two 1/4-28x1/2" socket head cap action screws. Weighs 5.40 lb. Made in the U.S.A. Safety note Follow all manufacturer installation instructions. Good ergonomics, deserves more attention than it gets. Improvement ideas: MLOK slots on the sides all the way back to the rear of the action, adjustable mag latch height, extended length bag stop feature,
The folding mechanism is amazing and super sturdy. It has tons of customization options and is really comfortable. I don't plan on ever getting another chassis and everyone I've showed it to has been extremely impressed as well.
Pro : Solid chassis. Nice features for the price. Magpul quality (👍) Con : The folding stock will NOT fold/fit over an Impact Precision action's bolt knob, even though they have pictures/marketing material for the Pro 700 folding stock clearly showing an impact precision action being used. Yes, the description states it "fits over a large variety of bolt knobs and handles", but they don't have a list of compatible actions/knobs etc it will work with, and part of my buying decision was based on seeing their marketing pictures. I'm pretty disappointed by that and feel a bit cheated.
Poor fit, magazines won't line up or feed. The bed is wobbly, because the way the action seats, won't sit properly. Thorough disappointment. Nothing works. Can't eject a mag, can't seat a mag, the bolt won't close with a mag & round in it.
Just an easy chasis to work with without breaking the bank. Solid design built like a tank and I love how you can add and take away what you want.
Brought this bad boy with me to sniper basic last year and I loved it! The chassis compared to other brands gives you everything you need still for a cheaper cost than what others provide. Would absolutely snag another one!
