This was my first OTF type knife so can’t really compare it to others but very good quality knife. Has a little weight to it but besides that it’s great.
bought recently, functions 80% of time as far as locking out.
Liked my first one so much that I bought this second one as gift for another first responder friend. Sturdy, sharp, and stable -- zero lateral blade movement / rattle. Not cheap, but worth every bit of the price. Just what I continue to expect from SOG.
Solid construction, about the right size to carry in your pocket everyday. Needs some "break in", but is working great the more I use it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase

Absolutely love this knife. Been waiting to get one like this. Only issue which I have, which may be a safety feature, is when you press the knife up against something and try to open it, it won’t open harshly as to penetrate. It goes like limp.
I've had mine about 4 years now, and other than being a bit on the heavy and bulky side and yes a tad on the expensivesideas well, I love it!! No issues, well...other than an EXTREMELY rare non-locking extension or retraction, (>1%) where it doesn't fully "open" or "close". Which is a simple "fix", by pulling the blade CAREFULLY to fully extend(opened) and manually lock and try again. Which could possibly be an operater error in not fully engaging the switch or poor cleaning maintenance not allowing it to operate smoothly. Other than that and a little wear and tear on the coating I love it! Come out with a few more OTF designs, or you could hire me! haha but seriously.
First class. Tight lockup and great fit and finish. And the price was reasonable, This won't be my last SOG.
