It's cool, coming to hand out as gifts. I recommend
Purchased this as a gift for a friend who mentioned she would like an alternate a means of self defense when she would not be able to carry her pistol. Owning several FGX blades myself, I believe this would be nicely suited to her needs. FGX knives are well designed, have rigid construction, and suited for several applications.
Little but sharp and sweet gave it to my wife to keep in her purse for unlucky situation
It’s polymer. And there’s no scabbard. Not a boot knife.
Less flex than the larger model. Will serve it's designed purpose. I am very happy with it.

I bought a few of these about three months ago expecting to tear through the first couple in no time but I’m still beating on the first one I opened, the only thing I wasn’t too excited about was the steel ring was a bit uncomfortable in my hand

I absolutely love the Nightshade series of blades and have 4 of them already. The FGX Boot Blade II is one that I do have, and I can say that it exceeds my expectations of getting a quality knife at a very affordable price. It is one of my squirrel away blades for around the house that I don’t have to worry about doing any maintenance on, it’s always there if I need it, and it’s point and blade edges are surprisingly sharp and strong. If you want a blade that requires no maintenance at all, then the Nightshade series is the perfect choice you’ve been looking for. Get them while you can, I’m getting extras for all of them in case one of them “walks away” after I’ve shown it to a friend. Any of the Nightshade series will impress you with the quality they offer at so low a price.
