Cold Steel Outdoorsman (VG-10 San Mai)

This is a beautiful knife, the balance is great, the handle is very comfortable, and of course this blade will slice. I read the reviews before I bought it and because the only thing that people didn’t like was the sheath, so I ordered a nice leather sheath the same time I ordered the knife. After receiving the knife I was playing with the sheath and heated and bent the edges of the sheath by the finger guard, now the knife clicks into place and can easily be removed. My only complaint is that I have an extra brand new leather sheath with nothing in it lol. I endorse this product

I’ve been using Cold Steel products since the very beginning. The OUTDOORSMAN is one I’ve looked at but didn’t consider it to be tactical. I always thought of it as a camping/hunting belt knife. I was wrong. This knife is strong and will perform any task I put it to. And it’s one of the best looking knives I own.

The Outdoorsman is an excellent knife capable of handling all of your camping chores! The nonslip grip ensures a comfortable secure grip irregaedless of use.

Very tough knife! I own many knives from cheap to high end. The quality and durability of this knife is better that most and as good as knives 3x the price. I’ve done fairly heavy testing with many of my knives and this one looks like I leave it on a shelf. It holds an edge well. I plan on buying more. I could use a new truck knife

Very nice knife! I’ve carried it a few time for use as a defensive knife. The knife itself is great & seems to be pretty sharp but could be sharper. I love the rubberized scales & the overall weight & shape as well. I’m not impressed with the sheeth though. The plastic one it has does the job but with that type I expect it to lock into it & it does not. A nice leather one would be better. All in all it’s a great knife though!

Great blade! I have to admit, it is a lot sharper than I was expecting which is always nice. The handle has a great feel too. Overall perfect, durable fit to my collection.

I have owned my Cold Steel Outdoorsman since 1985, it has never failed me. It has skinned 3 Elk, and 12 Mule while I still hunted, and holds a edge very well. Proud to own it, Hats off to Lynn Sir.
