The Hide Out was designed as a small, inexpensive and super-functional neck knife. The resulting blade is a true featherweight, weighing a meager 1.9oz! Its high satin polished, double-edged Japanese AUS 8A blade is "Scandi" ground, which makes it very sharp and also very stiff, allowing for a strong and durable tip, despite its sharpness. Its full tang is encapsulated in a weather proof Kray-Ex handle that has been designed to be very thin and flat. The handle is subtly contoured and deeply checkered to give the hand great purchase and security on such a small, thin knife, while still enabling effortless transition between grips. A Secure-Ex sheath and bead chain lanyard allow you to wear this knife discreetly and comfortably all day long.

Came across it in a store and the first thing I thought was that’s the perfect find little knife for so many uses. Hadn’t seen one like it.
Just got this Cold Steel "Hide Out". Can't get the knife out of the sheath without prying the sheath open with a small flat blade screw driver. Come on! What is the secret here?
I would have given it 5 stars except all I have left is the sheath, because the knife fell out, somewhere and I lost it.
It's just a fun cool lil stabby guy. I don't really neck wear it but I do like to use the chain to either tie off and to a belt loop and throw the knife and sheath in my pocket. Or I will tie the chain to the knife butt and the sheath so I can just drop the sheath but it stays handy.
This little blade is so easy to bring with you almost anywhere. Use double faced tape to attach the clip to the sheath then IWB this little gem. Perfect "leave me alone" knife. It's a space maker when you need to get away from trouble.
Perfect weight, shape & size. Excellent sheath and very sharp.
Great neck knife . I carry this or other Cold Steel neck knives almost everyday for alot of years.Very handy.
I think it is a great knife it could be better. I think if it were more like the spike series it would be better.

I am very happy with the Hideout Neck Knife. The handle feels secure in your hand and is longer than I thought it would be. A positive. It comes pretty sharp from the factory and just a few strokes on the stone brought it to very sharp. It comes with a chain, but I opted for leather cording.
