Since their initial introduction, Cold Steel's Emperor Series swords have proven to be popular with many of our customers. Still, we are aware that there are some people who want a battle ready sword but hope to find one at a more affordable price. Our Warrior Series addresses this problem directly. The Warrior Series swords share the same high-performance 1060 steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their Emperor counterparts, but we have omitted their expensive mirror polishing in favor of a more practical finish. This makes the Warrior Series a perfect choice for training and perfecting cutting techniques (Tameshigiri) without damaging or tarnishing the blade.

Well built, it's not sharp at all. What angle is recommended for sharpening?
A great blade slightly longer in the handle. A great companion blade.
I've wanted a quality Wakizashi for a long time, and i finally got it!!!!
Good quality item and i love the handle profile the steel was pretty raw and needed a lot of work to get polished but overall worth the purchase. Oh and it’s razor sharp. I recommended it to others and will continue to. Cold steel makes an excellent product.
love the weapon but scabbard came with a deep nick and currently waiting on replacement.
Battle ready as advertised. Fit is tight giving the weapon a solid one-piece feel. Scabbard came a little undersized at the opening, allowing for a gentle and repetitious seating for a snug fit. Well worth the money.
Another well built sword like my warrior series katana and Tantos. Can’t wait to take it to my Tatami ! I have several Cold Steel blades and am never surprised by their Quality which is extremely consistent . I have been a martial artist since 1967 and have multiple Black belts , one in Iaido which gave me a lot of cut practice , something I like to do do with all my blades and this Wakizashi is well balanced cuts well and feels so good in my hands , love it !
The blade itself is very sharp and sturdily attached to the handle. The guard also has no wobble, which is very nice. The fit of the sword in the sheathe is a little loose. It will stay in when inverted, but slips out if I shake it. I find the menuki (the brass accents under the handle wrap) and end cap of the sheathe to be very unsatisfactory. The Menuki still have sharp edges on them, and the steel cap at the end of the saya came unglued almost instantly. Overall, this blade will cut, but it’s not quite the quality I’ve come to expect from Cold Steel.
