This is the second SOG TAC Auto I have purchased and have found the new improved design to be superior to the first. Better handle and auto operation in both opening and closing.

Purchased about a month ago and my only complaints are minimal, at best. As a lefty, it was a little worrisome trying to crack the screw loose on the belt clip to switch sides, without stripping it out (maybe leave it to the purchaser to “loctite” it in place). Also, I feel the spring tension for a full-auto could be a little tighter. I own the previous version of this knife and it still springs to action with authority, after years of hard labor as my EDC. But, overall I am extremely happy with this knife and it’s craftsmanship, especially for the price
One of the best auto knives I’ve seen. The engraving was pitch perfect.
I had read a previous post from a customer who bought this knife and stated that at first the knife pops out sluggishly and this is true. He also stated that after a few pulls the pop out became faster which is also true. Now after using the knife several times the pop out is fast and closes just as fast. I love this blade and would recommend to anyone considering purchasing one. Then along with the lifetime guarantee!! It’s an easy sell.

Overall it is a good knife and I am happy with the purchase. Ergos are great and it's very comfortable to carry, doesn't feel like I have a brick in my pocket. The auto action is a bit slow and on the weak side, but works well enough. The price was a little high for D2 steel and I would have preferred something else. But still is a good knife and I foresee a lot of future use for it.
