Frankford Platinum Series Case Trim and Prep System

This tool is amazing and makes brass prep much more enjoyable! I didn't have any issues setting up or trouble with brass chatter. ALL of the cutters are sharp enough for any brass job. If you are having issues with inconsistencies or brass chatter, please check your adjustments. Once tuned, this tool works flawlessly!!

Had this for 3 years, really like it. Saves my hands and much time. Changing the length trim setup between case types takes a bit of time but I'm sure everyone does these in batches so it's no big deal.

Whether I'm loading 6.5 CM, .223, or 300 Blk, it's usually 100's at a time. I've tried other, more manual, devices, and was frustrated with how long the process took. Trimmers that chuck up in a drill, hand deburrers & chamferers, primer pocket reamers. A hundred once fired (many military crimped) .223 would take two hours to go through the 4-step process. Then I discovered this beastly beauty. Trim, boop. Deburr, boop. Chamfer, boop. Ream the crimp, boop. Into the tumbler they go. Now, in two hours, I can get 100's done with the same or better results. If you want to clean, but not ream your primer pockets...swap out the reamer for a brush. BOOP! The ONLY part I struggle with, is holding the case in the trimmer when I have the collet set for high volume. If you leave the collet loose enough to quickly and easily slide cases in and out, you have to grip them pretty tight to keep the cutter from spinning them. That way you don't have to tighten and loosen the collet for every piece. Speeds things up nicely. So, after 200-300 cases, my thumb feels like it's going to fall off. Grippy gloves are highly recommended. Another suggestion... As part of your depriming step, be sure to full length resize to bump your shoulder back .002 to .004 BEFORE trimming. Otherwise you'll trim the throat to a prescribed case length, but run out of headspace in the chamber.

Why would you sell a product like the Platnum case trimmer when replacement parts are not available? I have looked all over including your sight but collets and case holder parts are no where to be found

I purchased the Platinum Case prep unit from Midway last year. WOW what a game changer this thing is. Once it's set up you're off to the races. I load between 3-500 .308 rounds a month. Case prep was a nightmare. Not anymore. The trim and case prep center is awesome, it takes about 5 seconds a case. It makes brass prep a joy now. Insert the case into the previously set up collet, its trimmed in under a second. Pull it, flip it over just touch it to the chamfer and deburring tools and you're done. Easy to set up, easy to use. Best addition to my reloading set up yet.

Works great. It is an all in one machine and bombproof.

It works great and the case length stays within .001 of an inch. But, get new chamfer and deburring tools along with a cutter head. It will make the time of case prep alot shorter.

Fast and easy to trim multiple calibers. Just watch manfacture you have to adhust cut for some case manufactures to not over under trim. I cut in batches abd it cab loosen up with alot of cutting so make sure you lock it down and retighten as needed. But i cut in batches of 100 now because of this tool.

I’ve used this for a few months. Easy to use not super loud. Accurate. Only complaint is the o ring on the trimmer, hard to get back on.
